Tokyo Revengers has two seasons to watch online. It follows the story of the 26-year-old protagonist, Hanagaki Takemitchy, who is living alone in an apartment and working at a DVD store.
The last time he dated a girl, Hinata Tachibana, was in middle school, and she was murdered in the present time.
One day, on the way home from work, he waits for his train to arrive. That’s when someone pushes him onto the rail track, and as he is about to hit, he finds himself traveling 12 years back in time to when he was a 14-year-old middle schooler.
At first, he didn’t believe what he was seeing—hanging out with friends. Later on, he got into a fight with Tokyo Manji gang members and was beaten up.
Later, he rushes to Hinata’s house, and his tears come out after seeing her alive. Later, while he was in the park, he met Naoto Tachibana, the younger brother of Hinata, who was bullied by other guys and saved him.
Takemitchy tells Naoto how time leaped 12 years back and how Hinata and Naoto will die on July 1, 2017, and tells him to protect his sister. As they shake hands, Takemitchi finds himself on the bed back in the present time, saved by Noato, who is still alive.
When Takimitchi asks him about Hinata, Naoto tells him Hinata is again dead in the present time, and Naoto can’t save her.
Naoto remembered the conversation about Takemitchy leaping through time and telling Takemitchi that he has the ability to leap through time, and the trigger for that was Naoto’s handshake.
Naoto requested Takemitchi to help him save his sister Hinata, and later on, they tried to find ways to save her; the first step was to enter the Tokyo Manji Gang.
That’s where he will meet Sano Majiro (Mikey) and Ken Ryuguji (Draken), the top of the Tokyo Manji Gang, and his only aim is to save Hinata in the present time by changing the past events that led to Hinata’s death.
The anime is amazing, and so is the storyline, which you will fall in love with. If you are done with both seasons, you can check out the manga of Tokyo Revengers to find some more surprises as the story goes on.

11. Castle in the Sky
In Castle in the Sky, Sheeta and Pazu, two youngsters, find themselves on a quest to find an airborne island named Laputa. However, their quest is not without hardship, of course; airship pirates are seeking Sheeta and her amulet.
There are many memorable scenes in this movie, but the scene when Sheeta gets her braids shot off had to be my favorite. It’s a great anime movie for fans of adventure and Hayao Miyazaki’s patented, iconic style of animation. It’s best to watch with friends who like adventure movies.
12. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
This movie is about a teenager who can travel through time, unaware that her acts will have consequences in the past. Teenager Mokoto uses this ability much like many people would—by fixing mundane and frivolous problems in her own life. Think about how many mistakes you could easily fix.
The characters were designed by the animator of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, a nice little touch that interested me. This movie had me emotionally torn up. While it was supposed to be about time travel, it ended up being an amazing lesson on life and the choices we make.
13. Wolf Children
Wolf Children is a loveable anime movie directed by the same person who brought you The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. The story revolves around Hana, the human mother of hybrids made of half dogs and half-humans, and her struggle to raise them as a single mother after her lover died while trying to get food for them.
Even though Hana has to hide the fact that her children can change into human forms and wolf forms, this anime movie paints a loving portrait of a single parent trying to provide for her children after a loss.
The end of this book helped me care about their troubles and whether they’d be okay. Overall, it was an excellent story about family, growing up, and the importance of sticking by those you care about.

14. Kiki’s Delivery Service
Kiki’s Delivery Service is a great anime movie to watch with friends. You knew Studio Ghibli was going to make another appearance, and it was easy to see why.
The film tells the story of a young witch having trouble fitting in during her mandatory year of independence.
Kiki’s friendship with her cat, Jiji, is so endearing. It’s not as depressing as Grave of the Fireflies, but it looks into growing up and feeling excluded. A beautiful anime movie with beautiful animation, a touching story, and classic Miyazaki elements, this is Kiki’s best friend.
15. Psycho-Pass
For something more futuristic to watch with friends, Psycho-Pass is a great choice. It is dark, gritty, has a mix of male and female characters, and the story is compelling. Taking place in a dystopia, the film follows Inspector Akane Tsunemori of the Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Division, who finds a photograph of Shinya Kogami, who left Japan to appear in the TV series Psycho-Pass.
Tsunemori, after finding out that terrorists from SEAUn are plotting to attack Japan, is assigned to investigate their links to her former partner Kogami. The movie is mainly set in SEAUn (South East Asia Union), a country amid civil war, which was the first country to import the Sibyl System.
16. k-on
I am sure you will enjoy this anime very much with your friends. K-ON is a very good comedy anime, I mean extremely good. As a new high school year awaits, Yui Hirasawa is debating which club to join when she stumbles upon and applies to the Light Music Club, believing it is about playing simple instruments, such as castanets. Unable to play an instrument, Yui decides to apologize and quit the club.
However, Yui has refused to join the Light Music Club due to her lack of musical experience. Despite all their efforts, Yui insists on leaving due to her lack of musical experience. However, the club members play a piece for Yui, which sparks her fiery passion and finally convinces her to join.
17. Erased
A good movie to watch with a friend is Erased, a 2016 Japanese thriller fantasy mystery film starring Tatsuya Fujiwara as Satoru Fujinuma, based on the manga series of the same name.
I would recommend this to anime fans as it is one of the best series. Erased follows the story of 29-year-old Satoru Fujinuma, who is an aspiring manga artist who can travel back in time and prevent terrible things from happening. Following the murder of his loved one, he is sent back further in time than he has ever been to stop the tragedy.
18. Hello World
