After forming a group CLASSy, MBC, and Phunky Studios finally decided to come up with the second season of My Teenage Girl, which would, this time, feature boys from different countries instead of girls. As the first season received so much love and appreciation, fans were already excited for its second season to release soon. However, forming a male group was a real surprise because no one saw that coming.
Just after the winner announcement of the first season, Phunky Entertainment when had a meeting with numerous entertainment companies from South Korea and got to know that they have received so many applications to join their K-pop groups from all around the world. This is how the contestants were selected from various parts of the world, such as the USA, China, Thailand, Australia, and certainly, South Korea. They auditioned in front of the judges, and on the basis of public votes, which were started 10 November 2022 to 31 December 2022, the contestants were finalized.
Now, these contestants will become a part of the show and would get groomed and judged by many of the prominent K-pop idols from South Korea. These contestants have to give their best if they do not want to get eliminated from the show. After all, the competition is so tough, so their diligence and hard work would prove to be the best asset for them.
Additionally, the 55 contestants who got selected to compete in the show are placed in different groups according to their ages, such as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade contestants, to better identify them.
