Season 2 of the popular Netflix show “Love is Blind” has amassed huge fan attention. However, the news of the couples breaking up after the show has legitimately upset the viewers. But the split between Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson has surprised the audience.
36-year-old Nick Thompson and 29-year-old Danielle Ruhl met on the show’s second season, where they were involved in a blind interaction while remaining in separate pods. After spending considerable time getting to know one another, the duo grew fond of each other and decided to give their relationship a shot at the altar. Danielle and Ruhl met each other in person before they got engaged.
Recently Netflix dropped three episodes on the reality series “Love is Blind” titled “Catch up” to give the viewers a heads-up regarding how the season 2 couples went about with their relationship after the second season.
Just a few days before the premiere of “After the Altar” on August 21, word about Danielle and Nick’s divorce got around, which of course, rightfully saddened hundreds and thousands of fans.
US Weekly also confirmed the news of the split, stating that Danielle filed for a divorce with her husband Nick after the duo celebrated the first year of their wedding anniversary this June, which happened shortly after the filming of “After the Altar” episodes.
However, it is rumored that even though the couple was filmed together for the show, they had parted ways long before that, probably a month or so before the shoot began.

In their relationship ended, none of the stars commented on the news of their divorce. However, it has reportedly come to light that despite looking happy in her photos, Danielle was most probably suffering behind the scenes.
Regardless of the news of their split, fans quickly spot that their relationship mishap did not quite kill the glow on Danielle’s face. To this, Danielle took to her social media platforms and slammed her fans for being too nosey and judgmental about her private life. She said that if posting pictures of her crying was what her fans wanted to see, she could easily do that because she spends most of her time crying.
“But who wants to see that? Come on,” she further added.
Thomspon,n on the other hand,d expressed his gratitude for how things unfolded for him. He concluded his statement by saying that he gave everything he had to this relationship, but maybe it was for the best.
As for Ruhl, she had a more positive outlook on the whole situation. She viewed it as a whirlwind of events shaping and molding her life in ways she could not have imagined. In starting a new chapter of her life, the Netflix personality said that she has learned to love herself and give priority to those who have accepted her for who she is.

What otherwise felt like a “happily ever after” ended in a split that nobody had seen coming.
But what is done is done. With the couples from season 2 breaking up, the audience will again have to look forward to new sparks and connections and rely on the new set of potential love birds to rekindle their trust and faith in the saying “love is blind.”. However, the fact that some power couples from season 1 are still together and going strong is enough to give the viewers a sense of satisfaction and urge to follow the upcoming seasons on Netflix.
Season 3 of this reality show is in process and is all set to release on October 19. With so much to offer and so much reveal, will the season restore the audience’s faith in love this time?
And will the audience find the right answer to the question, “is love blind?”
