It sure is going to be busy in Atlanta this September. Why? Music Midtown is set to make a comeback this year, and some of your favorite artists have been confirmed to headline the program!
This is the first Music Midtown Festival that’s been held in two years since the 2022 edition was canceled. Following last year’s unfortunate calling off of the festival due to Philip Evans and Georgia’s weaponry laws, the happening of this year’s program was up in the air until Music Midtown made the announcement of their upcoming return a few days ago. As always, the program is scheduled to go on for three days across four stages in September this year.
Music Midtown began as a small two-day affair back in 1994, but it has now flourished into a three-day music festival with the most well-known performers in music today! This year’s headlining acts include musical geniuses such as P!nk, Guns N’ Roses, and Billie Eilish. With over forty artists performing, fans are amped up to see their idols performing on stage, especially with the option of purchasing one-day tickets to the festival this time.

Music Midtown In 2022
With an arguably more legendary artist lineup than this year, the 2022 Music Midtown festival was one that was extremely looked forward to, only for it to end up being canceled a month before its shows. We have Georgia’s “Constitutional Carry Act” and its pro-gun activists to thank for that.

Last year, the festival was initially said to be canceled due to circumstances beyond the event organizers’ control. Fans who were gearing up to see My Chemical Romance, Mitski, Fall Out Boy, A Day To Remember, and many more were left disappointed after being granted a full refund on their tickets not long before the program.
However, problems arose when it was revealed that Music Midtown guidelines stated that guns would not be allowed in the vicinity during the 2022 program in Georgia. It seems like a completely reasonable request, right? Not for the pro-gunners in Georgia, unfortunately. They left several messages on social media claiming that they would move affairs to court if they did not change the no-gun policy. Backed by the law in Georgia that allows possession of handguns in public parks, pro-gun activists’ threats eventually amounted to the entire show being canceled.
Music Midtown Back In 2023: Tickets, Tour Dates, Lineup, and Other Details
Music Midtown announced their highly anticipated comeback on May 16th, releasing the incredible lineup of artists set to perform at the event this year in September.
We’re assuming pro-gunners and the weapon laws have not interfered with the festival this year because it is confirmed to take place from September 15th to September 17th at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

The headliners for the 2023 Music Midtown require no introduction, of course. Starting off strong, we have Flume and P!nk kicking off the event on September 15th, followed by Billie Eilish and 1975 as the main events on September 16th, and finally, Guns N’ Roses and Lil Baby as the headline acts for the last day of concerts.
On top of these appearances, attendees will be treated to performances of over 30 other phenomenal artists like Pitbull, Niall Horan, Lizzy McAlpine, The Rose, JP Saxe, Tove Lo, and many more. The lineup truly screams inclusivity and showcases rising young talent from a variety of genres.
Agreed, it is a music festival, but whoever’s going also gets a chance to enjoy the tunes with their mouths full, riding a Ferris wheel. That’s right, the venue offers “interactive sponsorship experiences” and turns on the Ferris Wheel overlooking the concerts and the beautiful landscapes around. The event also has something for everyone when it comes to food, with a delicious array of food that includes gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan dishes.
With all fees and taxes included, a 3-day ticket price ranges from 350 USD to 1750 USD. On the other hand, a 1-day ticket’s cost ranges from 200 USD to 865 USD. Pre-sales for tickets went live on May 19th at 10 a.m., and fans were told to sign up to receive codes for the pre-sales. Go visit Music Midtown’s website to purchase tickets!
