Reacher is based on Lee Child’s best-selling series of novels and chronicles the exploits of Jack Reacher, a former Major in the United States Army. Jack frequently finds himself in life-threatening circumstances as he undertakes perilous missions and investigations. Lee Child’s acclaimed book series consists of more than 25 books and short tales. Tom Cruise played the character earlier in the 2012 film Jack Reacher, which was based on the 2005 novel One Shot. For the sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, the actor resumed his role, which was based on the 2013 novel Never Go Back by Lee Child. The character makes his debut appearance on television in this series.
The first season of the high-octane action series features Jack Reacher, a vagabond and former military police officer who comes to the small Georgia town of Margrave because one of his favorite blues guitarists happens to live there. This ostensibly sleepy hamlet, however, is anything but. When someone is found dead, Reacher becomes entangled in a web of deception, which he must unravel with his “clever mind and hard-hitting hands,” according to the show’s description.
Alan Ritchson, a former Titan, has been cast as Jack Reacher. He’s almost the same size as the novel character, who is described as being 6-feet, 5-inches tall, and weighs 250 pounds. Many fans’ concerns about the actor’s height should be alleviated by his height. One major criticism of Cruise’s casting was that, at 5-feet, 7-inches, he was simply too short to play Reacher credibly. According to the New York Daily News, Ritchson also bulked up for the role, gaining 30 pounds and undergoing extensive combat training.
After watching the series and seeing awesome scenes, you might be curious and interested to know exactly where are the filming locations of Reacher set at. So, let’s book a ticket and have a trip to all of the locations.
