We finally bring you the Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Recap. Firstly, the climactic episode of the six-part saga closes all story arcs of the Leia Organa kidnapping as the Jedi Master brings her to safety. Moreover, the action-packed episode marks a few key points for the Star Wars classic saga.
With this last episode, we see how Leia’s character is finally built. Also, we see an epic battle between the Jedi Master and Lord Vader, moreover, we see how Uncle Owen is determined to protect Luke’s life. Now, without any further ado, let’s take a look at the final episode of the Kenobi saga.
Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Recap
We begin at Tatooine and it turns out Reva is alive, albeit with a patched injury and she’s looking for Uncle Owen. We cut back to the spaceship carrying the rebels, Darth Vader ordered the vessel to be put under heavy fire. So, the ship won’t last much longer. Meanwhile, in Tatooine, Luke and Owen are at a repair shop looking for parts. And someone informs him that Reva is searching for him.
Meanwhile, Obi-Wan tells Leia that he’s leaving her so he can get caught by Vader to buy her and the rebels some time. Then, in Tatooine, Owen informs Beru about Reva hunting them. Owen wants to leave, but Beru doesn’t, so they decide to arm themselves and wait for Reva’s attack.
Tatooine
Before departing, Obi-Wan gifts Leia Teva’s blaster holster. He says he wasn’t going to gift her a blaster, but she won’t always be 10. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan holds his lightsaber and talks to Qui-Gon Jinn as he prepares to face Vader. So, the escape pod follows Obi-Wan under Vader’s orders. Owen warns Luke to run and hide in case things go awry.
Reva arrives at night and Owen begins firing shots at her frantically. She parries with her lightsaber. Reva uses the force to toss objects at Owen, he hurls them back and notices her injury, and strikes her in the belly. After that, Owen warns Beru.
Lightsaber Battle
Then, Vader and Obi-Wan face each other on a planet. Invigorated by the Force, Obi-Wan faces Darth Vader with great power. Obi-Wan uses the force to drop a rock on Vader and he’s impressed. Still, Vader lunges the rock back at him. So, Vader uses the force to dig a giant hole and bury Obi-Wan in it. But Kenobi used the Force to avoid being trampled.
He jumped out of the hole and tossed a bunch of rocks at Vader, mildly hurting him. Then, he uses his saber to destroy his breathing device. Lastly, he strikes at his helmet. He sees what Anakin has become and is aghast. “Anakin?” he asks. “Anakin is gone, I’m what remains” Vader answers. Obi-Wan sobs and apologizes. Vader redeems Kenobi by telling him that he didn’t kill Anakin, but instead, he did that by himself. So, Kenobi says goodbye and leaves Vader all hurt. After that, Kenobi jumps in his spaceship and sets course for Tatooine.
Reva’s Redemption
Reva tracks down Luke to a cave and finds him sleeping. Then, she draws her lightsaber and prepares to strike. But she has flashbacks and has a change of heart. When Kenobi lands, Owen and Beru are desperately searching for Luke. Obi-Wan is aghast to see that Reva brought him back and says that she couldn’t do it. Reva is sad that she couldn’t bring herself to kill a child. So, Obi-Wan comforts her. And tells her it’s her choice. When she hears that, she throws her lightsaber to the ground. Then, Obi-Wan tells her she’s free. And we see the solace in her eyes.
Darth Vader
Vader is back and repaired, sitting down and chatting with Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor teases him about his loyalties. But Vader reassures him that his loyalties lie there. Then, we see how Vader has a powerful throne and the Empire theme song cuts to black.
Alderaan
In Aldeaan, Leia gets ready another day, she puts on combat boots and a holster —Teva’s, with the notches—. We see how Leia will dress in the future. We now see Leia, Bail, and his wife at the spaceport ready to welcome someone. And it’s Obi-Wan, Bail, and Obi-Wan talk about the Empire’s growing influence. Then, Obi-Wan talks to Leia and tells her about the exceptional qualities of her mom and dad. They bid their goodbyes. And promises that he will be there to help her in the future.
Back in Tatooine, Obi-Wan returns to his exile in his cave, he goes to visit Uncle Owen, and he says he’ll keep his distance. Then, Owen asks Obi-Wan if he wants to meet Luke. So, he goes and says hello, then leaves riding into the desert. As he rides back into the cave, he sees Qui-Gon Jinn, who tells him he was always there, but Obi-Wan wasn’t ready to see him and tells him to come along, as they have ways to go.
