The best entertainer is determined by the audience’s vote. The one, who wins the hearts, wins the show. The reality show has an outstanding IMDB rating of 8.3. Producer Han Dong-Chul is surely successful in introducing hip-hop to Korea.
The first two seasons were presented by Eun Ji-won. He is the leader of the Sechs Kies, which is one of the earliest idol groups of K-pop. From season 3, Kim Jin-Pyo took over the presenter’s role and has been acing it till now. He is a rapper, songwriter, and TV host.
Kim won the best hip hop performance award in 2003 at the Mnet music video festival. SMTM is not restricted to Korea. The show has international versions too. The Thailand version started airing in April 2018 on True4U. The Vietnam version last aired in November 2020 on VTV3.
Show Me the Money Season 11: Release Date and All You Need To Know
The latest season of the reality show aired on 21st October 2022. The music battle went on each Friday at 11 pm KST on Mnet. DJ Hyunhee co-hosted the show alongside Kim Jin-Pyo. Season 11 was unique for several reasons.
The show got its first female winner, Lee Young-ji. Lee is also the winner of High School Rapper Season 3. However, a lot of people are not happy with the results. Many viewers accuse she has been favored for her impressive background.
Also, Show Me the Money, or SMTM season 11, registered thirty thousand applications which are the highest of all the seasons. That speaks volumes of the show’s growing popularity. This time four teams were competing against each other. Each team consisted of 11 popular and unrecognized rappers.
It was headed by the producers or judges. Team Slay was headed by Jay Park and Slom. Winner Lee Young-ji was a member of this team. R. Tee and Justhis mentored Team R.Jus. First runner-up Huh and third runner-up Don Malik was a part of this team. The Quiett and Leellamarz were leading Team Quiolin. Lil Boi and Groovy Room headed the team Grillz.
Third runner Blasé was competing under this team. But, the last season couldn’t meet the audience’s expectations resulting in a TRP decline. People were disappointed with the music and new set of rules. Its last episode aired on 30th December 2022.

Show Me the Money Season 11: Episode Schedule
Though episode 3 was scheduled for 5th November 2022, it was released a week later. This was due to the deadly disaster of the Halloween crowd crush, which happened on 29th October in Seoul.
