Turkish romance series never fail to meet the mark, and one such new drama is Gecenin Ucunda, translating to At The End Of The Night. Revolving around Macide (Neslihan Atagul), the show takes us on a journey of change and healing, where Macide ends up finding true love in the process of rediscovering her true self.
Gecenin Ucunda had been announced to be in the making for quite some and finally premiered on television on October 5th, 2022. It is directed by the talented Baris Ercetin, the man behind the shows Meryem, and Kanunsuzlar, to name a few. The writers of the show are Basar Basaran and Emre Ozgur.
Macide grew up in a poor family, with her father and her gambling-addict mother. Her father had special healing abilities that would often help Macide recover from minor health issues. After growing up, Macide lands herself a job in the corporate world as an HR professional but fails to find satisfaction in it.
After a tarot reading with her friend, Macide decides to leave her job and start working as a healer, believing she might have inherited the power from her father. She leaves for Istanbul and meets Ahmet while on the train. Ahmet falls in love with her and tries to be with her after they reach Istanbul.
While using a lift, Macide finds a man, later known to be Kazim, collapsing on the floor. She helps him recover, and after the incident, Kazim finds himself strongly attracted to her. The problem is that both Ahmet and Kazim are brothers, and Macide must decide whose love will remain unrequited.
Gecenin Ucunda: Cast Behind The Show
The actors who play Macide and Kazim are married in real life. These characters are portrayed by Neslihan Atagul and Kadir Dogulu. Neslihan was born in Istanbul and is of both Belarusian and Circassian descent. Her television career began through commercials, and she eventually ended up with a role in the drama Yaprak Dokumu in 2006. Over the years, Neslihan has been a part of many hit movies and shows like Araf, Fatih Harbiye, and Sefirin Kizi.
Kadir Dogulu, who’s known as Kazim on-screen, was first seen in the show Küçük Sırlar, Where he played one of the leading characters. After the show, Kadir appeared in small clips of music videos until he got a part in the show The Pis Yedili. Some other examples of his work include Dirty Seven (South Samyeli), Jet Set (Kenan), and Meeting (Aziz Korkmazer).
Other cast members involved in Gecenin Ucunda are Tuba Unsal (Nermin Light), Sarp Levendoglu (Ahmet Isik), Zuhal Olcay, Ozge Ozder, and Bestemsu Ozdemir.

Gecenin Ucunda Episode 14: Recap
Up until now, the show has featured the relationship between Macide and Kazim getting stronger, with the duo finally confessing their feelings for each other. Kazim had made up his mind to divorce his wife. This led to Nini coming up with an evil plan against Macide that would leave her in a huge problem.
After becoming a victim of Nermin’s plans, Macide doesn’t go out much and stays in her room the whole day. This angers Kazim, who demands an apology from Narmin. She agrees but chooses to do this by organizing a life where she says sorry but makes things worse for Macide. This acts as the final straw for Kazim, who removes her from the family’s house and sends her back to the streets.
To stop the family from breaking apart, a birthday party is organized for Cihangir. At the birthday party, Kazim declares his love for, but she soon finds herself stuck in another grave situation.
Between the chaos of Kazim sacrificing himself and Nermin turning out to be pregnant, Kazim and Macide decide to get married to put an end to all of it. What they think to be the end seems to be the beginning as the Isik family is back at it again with evil schemes.

Gecenin Ucunda Episode 15 will be released on January 17th, 2023. New episodes of Gecenin Ucunda are aired on Wednesdays or Tuesdays, with a single episode lasting around 2 hours.
