The Masked Dancer UK version is the spin-off of the American series with the same name. The American show was first aired on Fox on 27th December 2020. Like The Masked Singer, this show also follows the same format.
The British series premiered in December of 2021 and was soon renewed for a second season. The show starts with 12 participants who compete against each other on a battlefield full of talented dancers. It is comprised of seven episodes, and by the final episode, the winner will be decided and unmasked.
The Bandicoot production has some set rules to keep the show spoiler-free and safe for the participants involved. The creators of the show take the privacy of hosts, judges, and contestants very seriously and make sure that their identity is not getting leaked. The show is being hosted currently by the English actor, writer, film critic, and comedian Jonathan Ross. The first season started with 12 contestants and ran with seven episodes. This season has also started with 12 participants but will include one extra episode.

The Masked Singer UK: Meet The Cast
The British show is presented by Joel Dommett, who is an actor as well as an author. One of the panelists includes the British actor Jonathan Ross. He is also known for hosting the BBC One chat show called “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.” The show was released in the early 2000s. Ross hosted a radio show as well on BBC Radio 2.
The other panelists include Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan as well. Davina McCall is a British television presenter. She also used to be the presenter of Big Brother, another popular television reality series. McCall has been the host of other shows like “Streetmate” and “The Million Pound Drop” as well.
Mo Gilligan, the other panelist, brings out the humor of the show. The English stand-up comedian is familiar to the public eye because of hosting his show “The lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.”
The Masked Dancer UK Season 2 Recap
The series premiered its second season on 3rd September 2022 with 12 participants. 6 out of the 12 participants got introduced on stage as their stage names Candlestick, Scissors, Astronaut, Odd Socks, Prawn Cocktail, and Pillar and Post. Out of those, only three have won the first stage.
Everyone else except the three winners Scissors, Odd Socks, and Prawn Cocktail, are either at risk or out. The contestant Astronaut is out and therefore was revealed to be the American actor Jesse Metcalfe. Candlestick and Pillar, and Post are still in the game but are at risk.

In the next few episodes, Pig is revealed to be the Welsh actress Joanna Page, Prawn Cocktail, revealed to be the journalist Stacey Dooley, Cactus, revealed to be the English broadcaster Gareth Malone, and Tomato Sauce, revealed to be the journalist and presenter Stephanie McGovern.
So far, contestants including Sea Slug, Onomatopoeia, Pearly King, Candlestick, Odd Socks, Pillar and Post, and Scissors are still in the game. We have seen the participants dance to Demi Lovato, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and many more.
The Masked Dancer UK Season 2 Episode 6 Release Date
The second season of The Masked Dancer UK episode 6 is set to release on the 8th of October 2022, Saturday. The show is usually aired on its original channel ITV once every week on Saturdays. In the last episode, we saw Sea Slug, Pearly King, Onomatopoeia, Scissors, and Candlestick moved to the safe section while Oddsocks was put at risk.
With Tomato Sauce being out of the game, the duo of Pillar and Post were also eliminated because of an accident. The duo was revealed to be the professional skaters Frankie Seaman and David Seaman, who got eliminated due to Frankie breaking her ankle during a rehearsal.
