The Flash Season 8 Episode 5 Recap
Despero, an alien who claims to want to save the Earth by killing The Flash, warns him that great tragedies will lead to Armageddon. Barry then doubles down on proving his innocence, but when he finds out that Joe, played by Jesse L. Martin, is dead, it pushes him to seek counsel from Black Lightning, played by Cress Williams.
Barry meets Black Lightning at the Hall Of Justice, after things take a dire turn with Despero, and asks him to take away his powers. Meanwhile, Iris suspects that something is off with Despero’s vision of the future, so she seeks help from Dion. Barry travels to the future and is shocked when Eobard Thawne, played by Tom Cavanagh, returns in the most unexpected way, and more so, with him being engaged to Iris. He later finds out that everything has gone wrong because Eobard created a Reverse Flashpoint. Damien Darhk offers advice to him, but there is a catch. An epic battle begins with The Reverse Flash against The Flash in order to restore peace and order back to the world.
Finally, in the fifth episode, Barry must decide whether to let his greatest enemy, Eobard Thorne, die or save his life. It is an exciting conclusion to the five-part Armageddon event, which presents an opportunity for The Flash to end his lifelong battle with the Reverse-Flash for good, but the payoff could be too much for Barry and the team to handle. Meanwhile, Mia Queen, played by Katherine McNamara, drops in from the future looking to save her brother and will not let anything stand in her way. As the team debate whether to let Thorne die, Joe, now alive again since Barry fixed the timeline, pulls Barry and Iris aside and tells them to save him as it is the right thing to do. While, Despero mind controls Mia to attack the team in order to kill Thorne, but is later defeated by The Flash and his team. Eventually, they do save Thorne but take away his speed, which is a fate worse than death to him.
The Flash Season 8 Episode 6 Release Date
The Flash Season 8 Episode 6 will release on March 9th, 2022, at 8 pm ET. This is a change from the Tuesday night premieres the season had during the Armageddon event. We can expect the season to kick off with the return of Bart and Nora, as it was shown in the end credit scene of the fifth episode. It seems that the two siblings have messed up the timeline, sending it into flux. They will need to correct it before the future as they know it is changed significantly. We will be thrown back in time with the pair, most probably to Barry’s first year as a superhero, and will also see Eddie Thawne, played by Rick Cosnett, their mother’s deceased fiancé.
