In this article you will get to know about Jordan Elsass and why he left Superman and Lois Season 3. He played the role of Jonathan Kent in the series and now he won’t be able to play the role in future episodes.
Two seasons of Superman and Lois have already been released on CW and now the third season is airing. It also holds the record of the most watched show on the platform along with Walker with the previous two seasons and the third season is also having a good viewership. The only difference that can be seen in the show is the missing of Jordan Elsass.
Before the release of the show it was already announced that Jordan will not be available for the next season and the role of Jonathan Kent will be given to anyone else.
Jonathan Kent is one of the twin sons of Clark Kent aka Superman and Lois Lane. He has played an important role in this series and fans have loved him in this role. Now let’s know Why Did Jordan Elsass Leave Superman And Lois?
Why Did Jordan Elsass Leave Superman And Lois?
Jordan Elsass informed Warner Bros TV that he will not play the role of Jonathan Kent in the third season because of personal reasons. And due to that the role was recast. Elsass didn’t inform about the reason publicly but fans have predicted that he was suffering from mental health issues. He posted a post on Instagram in June which was later deleted in which he wrote about his suffering from mental health and was going into a rehabilitation facility.
He wrote a poem on Instagram and wrote that he will not be able to use social media for some time. He said that he was not sure about the time but will take a few weeks. He later wrote that he was suffering from many things at the same time which revolves around mental health problems and his mind.
He said that he wrote the poem but is not sure whether it was a poem or not. Because he has never written a poem before so he won’t know what lines are considered poems but this was his best attempt. He said that he is going to a mental health facility for at least a month to get his mental status normal as before and to get some tools that were required for the correction of his behavior because he thinks he is not in the perfect state right now.
He also said that he will not be able to spend his time with his friends and family if he gets involved in the shooting of Superman and Lois Season 3. He added that he was feeling weak for many days and was thinking that his problems were not real and everyone’s problem was big than his.
He first thought to deal with the issue internally but because of this decision the situation became worse in the last few years and is now ready to get some medical help leaving the shooting is a huge sacrifice for him. He concluded his post by saying that his fans should also ask for help and change their life if they are also facing mental health issues.
Who Is The New Jonathan Kent?
Michael Bishop is the new actor who will play the role of Jonathan Kent in Superman and Lois Season 3. He has acted in a tv series titled Grace Beside Me and played the role of Teddy. He is from Australia. He was also seen in short films like Skin Like Bark and Shelter. His first American role was in 2021 when he made his debut in the movie Spin produced by the Disney Channel and played the role of Max.
Because of management changes at The CW and Warner Bros. Discovery, Bishop’s future in the Arrowverse is in doubt, and Lois and Superman’s continued existence is also in doubt. Superman and Lois season 3 may be the series’ final season, despite DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn’s assurances that “it’s going to keep going for a little bit,” as practically every other show based on a DC Comics property has been canceled in recent months. Michael Bishop will, in any case, have at least one season to establish his abilities.
