Annabel Giles Partner
Annabel Giles’ partner was Midge Ure, the only person she tied the knot with. Born on 10 October 1953, James “Midge” Ure is a successful band member of Rich Kids And Visage, Thin Lizzy, Silk, and other rock and pop bands. The Scottish musician, record producer, singer, and songwriter is a native of Glasgow.
Giles married Ure, the lead singer of Ultravox, in 1985 and divorced in 1989. The couple has only one daughter, Molly Lorenne, who was born in March 1987. Molly became the lead singer and guitarist in a British female rock pop band, The Faders, from 2004 to 2006.
Giles did not marry after that but had a subsequent relationship and gave birth to a son, Ted Giles, in 1998. In an interview, she stated that Ted’s father left her when Ted was only two weeks old. She spent every penny to keep herself and Ted alive while waiting for his father to return.
On the other hand, Ure married an actress named Sheridan Forbes in 2003, and their children are Kitty, Ruby, and Flossie.
Giles’ former boyfriend, Paul Duddridge, came out as Ted’s father in 2014. However, he accused Giles of playing a victim card and framing him as the villain. According to him, he spent thousands of pounds on Ted’s child support, but her deeds dragged him away from Ted.
Ted Giles has had difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication due to Asperger Syndrome since birth. Meanwhile, his Jacobs Syndrome increased his risk of learning disabilities.
James “Midge” Ure
James “Midge” Ure is a Scottish musician whose parents used to earn only for the hours or days they worked. Thus, they earned less than the people in other groups. Ure lived in a one-bedroom flat with his family in Cambuslang and later moved to Eastfield.
Ure passed out from a technical college and worked as an engineer. Further, he joined various bands, including Stumble and Salvation, which was renamed Silk in November 1974. He joined a band named Sex Pistol in October 1977.
However, he left Sex Pistols because the remaining band members could not go with his new instrument, and he formed a short-lived band called Rich Kids for a charity event. He co-founded a band named Visage with his friend in 1978 and wrote a song for Thin Lizzy.
Ure joined Ultravox as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist in 1979. He also did backstage photography for the band and left Visage in 1982. Further, Ure left Ultravox after the 1986. He reached the Celebrity Master Chef series finale in June 2007 and became sober after June 2005, though he was struggling with it.
