Do you listen to music? Do you enjoy listening to songs without having to download them from pirated sites? Do you have the Spotify app downloaded on your phone? The answer to all these questions is one and the same: yes. For us, at least, this app has become a part of our daily lives. We can listen to T-Swift non-stop or the songs that were released even before we were born, just by going on this app and searching for them. Whether it is the latest album or a debut album by an up-and-coming singer/ band, Spotify has made all of our lives simpler and easier.
As a kid, most of us have had the pleasure of lurking on pirated sites to stream or download music. We would waste so much of our time trying to find the correct version of a song we wanted. Trust us; it wasn’t easy learning that the music we’d downloaded was actually incorrectly titled. Just imagine ten-year-old you going on the internet, looking for a song called “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, but when you listen to it after downloading, it’s some other song; how heartbreaking it is!
Thankfully, we don’t have to suffer anymore. Spotify came into our lives and changed the way we listened to music. Now, we can stream any song by any artist. No more listening to songs that we don’t want to hear. We have countless playlists, each made for our specific feeling. We can follow people we like or who have the same music taste as ours. It’s all fascinating, isn’t it? But how did this app even reach us? We never wondered how Spotify was made, but if you did, then you might get some answers now.

The Playlist: A Show On Spotify
The Playlist, albeit a fictionalized show based on six untold stories, premieres later this week. It’s a Swedish TV series directed by Per-Olav Sørensen and created by Christian Spurrier. The project was first announced in December 2019, but the filming on the show didn’t begin until June 2021. The show was shot in Stockholm, Sweden, and The Playlist’s post-production started in November 2021.
The Playlist is a series about the people who founded Spotify in response to the growing piracy problem in the music industry. The trailer for the mini-series was released a while back. Although the trailer was short, it was inspiring and filled with so much energy that it gave us literal goosebumps. It gave us a peek into what a powerful show this will be upon its release. The Playlist will give us a deeper look into how history is made, and lives are changed if one is determined not to give up. And now, we can’t wait to see how a Swedish tech entrepreneur and his partners set out to revolutionize the music industry with a legal streaming platform.
The Founders Of Spotify
In case you didn’t know, Spotify, founded on 23rd April 2006, is one of the largest music streaming service providers. The app, currently available in over 180 countries, was founded by Daniel Ek along with his friend and business partner Martin Lorentzo. Spotify has around 433 million monthly active users today, but it’s taken a lot of hard work and determination for the app to reach here.
Daniel Ek, the founder of Spotify, played by Edvin Endre, has reportedly claimed that nothing as sort of what’s shown in the show actually happened. So, viewers who are excited about the show must keep that in mind while streaming this upcoming series. Along with Edvin, other actors who will be seen in this series are Gizem Erdogan as Petra Hansson, Christian Hillborg as Martin Lorentzon [co-founder], Ulf Stenberg as Per Sundin, and Joel Lützow as Andreas Ehn.
