Record of Ragnarok is one of those anime series that gained some serious amount of popularity in a record-breaking time. The Japanese manga series Record of Ragnarok, also referred to as Shumatsu no Warukyure, is a recently released and ongoing anime series. The manga was drafted by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, whereas it was illustrated by Ajichika. The manga was released in November 2017, and its status is ongoing. Later, the manga was adapted into an anime series, which premiered on 17th June 2021. The popularity of the name is immense due to its unique plot.
The plot of the manga and anime is set up in a fictional world where the gods all over the world come together to decide the fate of humanity. After 7 million years of human history, the council of gods decided that the deeds of humans are depleting and cannot be corrected anymore, and they must not exist anymore. However, Valkyrie Brunhilde decided to let the humans have their chance to prove themselves. As a result, they organized a tournament of Ragnarok. The tournament consisted of 13 participants from both sides, and then the competition between the Gods and Humans began.

5. Hades
The famous God of Underworld – Hades is a greek god particularly known for his powers and rules over the underworld. In the series, Hades was the representative of God that appeared in Round 7, acting as a replacement for Buddha. From his appearance, he looks like any other young man but has some godly looks. He wears long-styled hair with a specially designed eye patch. His personality is not fully put forward. However, we mostly witnessed him as a quiet and sophisticated individual. It is also one of the most feared gods, and it is evident when Ares immediately leaves his seat upon his order.
Till now, his abilities have not been disclosed. This is the reason why he is ranked fifth, although being a God of Underworld, he can undoubtedly rank him as one of the strongest. Being a god, he is immortal, possesses some great knowledge about martial arts and the creation of humanity.
4. Odin
Odin is one of the representatives from God’s side that is going to fight in the future in the match of Ragnarok. According to Norse mythology, Odin is referred to as God of Gods and has some powers associated with wisdom, healing, and death. However, in the anime, his abilities are yet to be revealed. He has made his appearance in the anime but has yet to show his powers to the audience. This is the reason why he is ranked 4th on the list. In anime, he is a well-built man who wears formal robes and an eyepatch over his left eye. Till now, Odin showed his personality of being a man of few words. He doesn’t like to talk much, communicates mainly through his ravens, Huginn and Munnin.
The full extent of his powers is still unknown, but he is a supreme Nordic God and King of Asgard, which makes it evident for him to be an extremely knowledgeable and strong person. Being a god, he is immortal and has some extreme strength that a human cannot match.

Shiva is a Hindu god who made his appearance as the representative of gods in the 5th round of the Ragnarok Tournament. As Zeus is to greeks, Shiva is to Hindus. He is the strongest God of destruction that ever existed. Not only destruction, but he is also associated with creation, death, dark and extreme wisdom. However, in anime, he is introduced as a character who is carefree, impulsive, and proud of being powerful. He showed his impulsive and violent behavior even against Zeus but stood down in the rest of his seniority. From the appearance, he is an extremely charming, indigo-skinned young man. He has four arms and messy black hair.
Like all other gods, he is immortal and forever youthful. His powers mainly lie within his dances. He has a third eye on his forehead. Upon opening, it gives him excess destructive powers. During his battle with Rudra, his attacks were able to create massive shockwaves across the Svarga.
2. Adam
The only human that deserves to be in the Top 5 is Adam. The very first man on earth and the father of the whole human species. Adam is a tall, young muscular, yet petite-looking young man. His beauty is unmatched for a human, and he literally glows even in the sunlight. He has golden blonde hair but a pair of blue eyes. Adam showed the personality of being a very calm, composed, and carefree person. Even being a human, he talked with Zeus very casually and stood against him with full confidence. Adam being the father of humanity, is selfless and puts his family first, and can do anything to protect them.
Adam was considered as the trump card against all might gods. He is the most powerful human in history. He was chosen to fight against all-mighty Zeus. However, he was unable to defeat him but nearly snatched Zeus’s title of being the mightiest God. All the gods underestimated him, but in the match, he gave a severely hard time to Zeus.

1. Zeus
The number one is Zeus – the leader of gods according to Greek mythology. He appeared as the representative of gods in the 2nd round of the Ragnarok tournament and fought against Adam. By Greeks, he is also referred to as the “God of Cosmos” responsible for the creation of this work. In anime, his position didn’t change. Talking about his appearance, he is a frail-looking old man with a low stature and sunken eyes. But he turns into a total beast when he is inside the match rings. According to fellow gods, Zeus is highly calm, authoritative, and very formal. He is a proud man and puts his race superior to any other existing race.
He is undoubtedly the strongest God existing, as he was referred to as the chairman of the God Council and the final boss. At a young age, Zeus was able to defeat his father Kronos, and after winning the Titanomachy Tournament, he was crowned as the mightiest God to exist.
