This Is Us Season 6 Episode 11 sees the fights between Kate and Toby escalating, thus resulting in losing sight of one of their beloveds. Previously on This Is Us, we opened back to Rebecca’s Thanksgiving speech that sees Miguel and Kate becoming her executors. The decision kinda hurt Randall. Things got tense for him with Deja confronting him for urging Malik to break up with her. The next day Randall couldn’t find her and is told that she left to meet Malik in the middle of the night.
An angry Randall leaves and even blurts at Rebecca for her decision. Rebecca realizes Randall wasn’t happy with Kate becoming the executor and tags along with him to find Deja. The episode continues its flashbacks to the time when Randall, Kate, and Kevin were six-year-olds and then teenagers. Thus telling us how Randall has always been the strong backbone of the family. He is more mature, always ready to be there, and knows how to handle a situation.

When they were six-year-old, Randall was up ahead among the siblings when it came to swimming. He was more of a star performer but always looked out at his parents hoping they will see him while they were busy teaching Kevin and Kate. When they were teenagers, Randall saved his siblings from a possible arrest for trespassing, underage drinking, and littering. Even taking care of his mother when she was all alone.
Back in the present these memories kinda reflect back. Rebecca felt that Randall needs to give Deja her space if she knows how to figure out things. Randall agreed and the mother-son duo spent a day together. This resulted in Rebecca finding out that Randall could be running for the next Pennsylvania senator election. Something he is still reconsidering.
The next day by the pool, Rebecca discloses how Randall has been her rock ever since Jack died. She has already asked for a lot. Therefore, she doesn’t want him to be the executor. The episode closed with Deja and Malik finalizing their breakup and Deja later apologizing to her father.

The official synopsis of the episode suggests that it will feature Rebecca and Miguel’s barbecue party but it may not go according to the way they planned. The official promo of the episode further suggests that the fights between Kate and Toby keep coming between the event. Amidst all of this, Jack gets lost.
