The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 sees Cassie on an emotional rollercoaster ride as she visits New York with her brother Davey. Cassie trying to solve the mystery of her doppelganger has not panned out in the best possible way for her. Things went out of hand when Esteban and Gabrielle broke into her house to interrogate Annie and Max. On top of that, her doppelganger has now gone on to kill two CIA analysts.
This was too much for Cassie who unwillingly turned back to drinking. She needed someone by her side and Brenda came for her. During the conversation, Cassie confessed that she had been lying about her sobriety.
Cassie actually had slipped and had not completed a year and it broke her down further. The sixth episode of The Flight Attendant Season 2 explores Cassie’s past growing up and how she is more or less like her father. Taking a look at the same, let’s break the episode down.
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 opens up with Annie and Max coming home to find a broken-down Cassie. Annie comforts her best friend and Cassie reveals the truth about her sobriety. Annie was there for her and supported her. This was the day Cassie had to go to New York with her brother Davey. But the knock on the door would have canceled those plans.
It was Benjamin on the door asking for Cassie. Annie managed to distract him while Cassie escaped. Cassie got on the flight with Davey and once the doors were closed she decided to confess the truth to Davey as well. The brother-sister duo paid a visit to their father’s grave where Cassie read a letter she wrote to him.
Cassie broke down while reading and claimed that she will never turn out like him, no matter how much she loves him. After all, his drinking habits had destroyed their house. Problems didn’t end there as Davey decided to surprise Cassie by bringing her to their mother who was surprised to see Cassie as well.

Cassie and her mother were never on the same page. A huge fight took place regarding the mistakes Cassie did as an adult. The fight came to an end with Cassie’s mother claiming that she loves her but doesn’t like her.
Amidst all of this, Annie and Max worked on the information they had about Esteban and Gabrielle. They found out that Esteban and Gabrielle have been tracking Cassie everywhere and are sending information to North Koreans who are hunting Megan. Dot has become suspicious of Benjamin who has been trying to find Cassie. Megan reunited with her son but a meeting with her husband didn’t go well.
The episode came to a close with North Koreans managing to locate Cassie. Davey caused a distraction by blowing up a car so that they can escape. After realizing what Cassie is up to, Davey identified one of the images of Viewmaster 3D Cassie had. It was a boat registration number. Cassie called Shane to inform the same while near the same boat Cassie’s doppelganger kills Jones, one of Benjamin’s officers.
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 Review
The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 6 continued to keep away from the main plot for the second time in a row. But it wasn’t more like a filler as the episode gave us a hefty amount of time to understand Cassie’s emotional state, where she comes from, and how it was growing up for her.
Kaley Cuoco delivers some strong performances that are worth looking out for. From confessing to Annie to reading the letter to her father to the fight with her mother, every moment is worth taking note of.
For the most part of the season, everyone almost hated Cassie for her bad decision-making process. But this is the episode where you may realize why she is the way she is. Another worth noting thing about this episode is probably the strong dialogue that goes through within the notable conversations we mentioned.
The main plot over here receives minor progress. Although the show hasn’t revealed much about the mystery, the CIA over here is quite shady. While Dot and Shane might want Cassie to stay away from Benjamin, there is a chance that Dot is behind all of this too. We may find that out in the next episode.
