The First Descendant players have plenty of new content to look into following the July 15 update, as Nexon has revealed six limited-time in-game events packed with free rewards, progression boosts, and cooperative challenges.

Running through August, the events give players opportunities to earn exclusive character skins, Ultimate Weapon selection boxes, valuable upgrade materials, and research speed bonuses simply by playing the game.

The full event schedule was announced on The First Descendant’s official website, with activities available across all supported platforms, including Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Free skins and powerful rewards headline the Summer Medical Support Operation

One of the biggest attractions is the Summer Medical Support Operation, a 35-day login event running until August 26. Players who log in daily can collect a wide variety of rewards, including Crystallization Catalysts, millions of Gold, Kuiper Shards, Ultimate Alignment Devices, and multiple selection boxes containing high-value equipment.

The standout rewards arrive later in the event, with players unlocking Sharen’s “Medical Support” skin on Day 14 and Harris’ “Medical Support” skin on Day 35. Other notable rewards include an Ultimate Weapon Selection Box IV, Trigger Module Selection Boxes, exclusive cosmetics such as the Freediving UI Theme, Name Card, and Back Attachment, as well as Dia Ancestors Module Selection Boxes.

Assemble Event encourages the entire community to work together

Nexon is also introducing Assemble Event I, a three-week cooperative event where the entire player base contributes toward shared global milestones while completing their own personal objectives. Every week features a different challenge, ranging from clearing Sigma Sector missions to defeating enemies and completing Intercept Battles.

Players receive rewards for reaching both Personal Contribution and World Completion milestones, with exclusive cosmetic items such as the Yujin Albion Trendsetter Makeup, J.E.L.L.I. Chest Attachment, and The Last Dagger “Northern Wind” weapon skin reserved for full community completion. Daily missions offering additional Ancestors Modules provide even more incentive to participate throughout the event.

New progression events help both beginners and veteran players

The update also introduces the Descendant Advancement Mission, which is aimed at players below Mastery Rank 18. Completing daily and one-time objectives rewards players with Energy Activators, Crystallization Catalysts, Descendant selection tickets, Fellow support items, and vehicle upgrade materials, making it easier for newer players to strengthen their roster.

Veteran players can instead focus on the Descendant Firepower Checkpoint Mission, which emphasizes strengthening Fire-based Descendants such as Serena and Blair. Completing its objectives grants Fire Transcendent Modules, Trigger Module Selection Boxes, Axium research materials, Gold, Kuiper Shards, and additional upgrade resources.

Research boosts and weekend bonuses round out the update

Alongside the gameplay events, Nexon has activated Accelerate Research Week, reducing research times by 50% from Monday through Thursday and 100% from Friday through Sunday. The bonus stacks with other research speed effects, allowing players to craft equipment significantly faster during the event period.

Meanwhile, the recurring Descendant’s Weekend event returns with rotating bonuses every weekend until August 16. During these periods, players receive 20% increased Descendant EXP, Weapon Proficiency, and Arche Tuning EXP, along with 20% more Gold and Kuiper Shards from eligible activities, making weekends the ideal time to level characters and farm resources.

With six simultaneous events offering everything from exclusive cosmetics to valuable progression materials, The First Descendant’s latest update delivers one of the game’s busiest seasonal event schedules yet. Whether players are chasing free skins, improving their Descendants, or helping the community unlock global rewards, there is plenty of content available throughout the coming weeks.
