Petit Planet is officially set to launch worldwide this winter, with HoYoverse confirming the release window during gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live. The upcoming cozy galactic life simulation game will be available on PC, iOS, and Android, allowing players to experience its peaceful world across multiple platforms. Pre-registration is now open, while HoYoverse has also confirmed that more details about the game’s upcoming Final Beta Test will be shared soon.
The announcement gives players a clearer look at what to expect from Petit Planet, which marks HoYoverse’s first cozy life simulation game. Unlike the action-heavy experiences associated with many of the company’s biggest titles, Petit Planet focuses on building a life among the stars. Players will become Planet Tenders, caring for their own worlds, befriending unusual Neighbors, gathering resources, and exploring the vast Starsea. A new trailer shown during gamescom also highlighted the game’s warm atmosphere, from fishing and farming to traveling between distant planets.
What Players Can Do in Petit Planet
As a Planet Tender, players will be responsible for shaping their own planet into a personalized galactic home. Daily activities include gathering resources, crafting furniture, and gradually transforming the terrain piece by piece. Players can also experience seasonal changes while tending crops and enjoying a slower-paced life.
The game’s fuzzy Neighbors will play an important role in the experience. These characters can become part of the player’s everyday life, with activities including picking fruit, going on adventures, building homes, and spending quiet moments together.
However, Petit Planet’s universe extends far beyond the player’s home. The Starsea allows players to set sail and discover scattered Islets filled with different ecosystems, landscapes, rare resources, and unexpected encounters. The Galactic Bazaar will also give players from around the world a place to meet, take part in activities, and form unique social connections.

Petit Planet pre-registration is currently available through the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Epic Games Store. Players can search for the game and sign up to receive a notification when it officially launches this winter.
HoYoverse will also offer hands-on gameplay during gamescom 2026 at Hall 6.1, Booth B030, giving visitors an early opportunity to explore the game. The company is expected to reveal further details about the Final Beta Test in the near future.
With its combination of planet customization, social interactions, farming, crafting, exploration, and multiplayer connections, Petit Planet is shaping up to offer a very different experience from HoYoverse’s previous games. The new gamescom trailer provides the clearest look yet at the peaceful galactic adventure awaiting Planet Tenders.
