Mouse: P.I. For Hire has reached a significant commercial milestone, with developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide Studios confirming that the game has sold more than one million copies worldwide.

The announcement comes less than three months after the title’s digital launch on April 16, 2026, highlighting the strong reception for the 1930s cartoon-inspired first-person shooter.

According to the developers, console platforms accounted for roughly half of the game’s total sales, while the remaining 50 percent came from PC players on Steam. The milestone follows a steady stream of post-launch support, including a recent major update that introduced the Level Revisit feature, with additional story content already planned.

Fumi Games thanks players as post-launch support continues

Celebrating the achievement, Fumi Games CEO and Founder Mateusz Michalak thanked the community for embracing the studio’s vision. In a statement shared, he said,

“Mouse: P.I. For Hire reaching over 1 million players has filled the team with an immeasurable amount of gratitude and appreciation for our community.”

He added that the game grew far beyond what the team originally expected from its concept of a 1930s cartoon-themed shooter.

Michalak also highlighted the studio’s commitment to supporting players after launch through new content, including physical editions, the recently released gameplay update, and an upcoming story DLC. He concluded by thanking fans for helping turn the team’s passion project into a global success.

With one million copies sold in under three months and more content on the horizon, Mouse: P.I. For Hire continues to establish itself as one of 2026’s standout indie shooters.
