Amidst all of this, back in London, Luke and Spencer meet with another young patient who needed heart surgery. This time around Luke succeeds and makes history. Martha and Spencer further help the patient and her sister with rent as they were in financial crisis.
The Essex Serpent Season 1 Episode 2 Review
The Essex Serpent Season 1 Episode 2 delves deep into developing the relationship between Will and Cora. The show spent time trying to establish the thoughts of different individuals. Especially of Will & Cora and how they found a point where they agreed with each other. Plus no matter how much one tries to change the perception of others, there is a high chance they will fail.
The same went down when Cora tried to invest her knowledge with the kids of the town. They had a hard time accepting it as they have lived with the truth they have been told for the most part of their life. We hope to see that change in the coming episodes. But according to the plot, it’s just going to get hard for Cora.
Similarly, back in London, nobody believed in Luke. Until he managed to save a life with the heart surgery he hinted to do. Apart from all of that, the show continues to hint at the romance between Will and Cora. So far the show seems adamant that there is no serpent, only science and common people see it as a sorcery.
