In the last chapter we saw that Kim Minjun managed to achieve another unbelievable feat which turned even more attention towards him. Of course, he went inside that fake dungeon according to his own will but he couldn’t just say that to others. He came out as a hero once again without even wanting it.
It was a chapter without much fighting or action, unlike the preceding chapters and it was mostly focused on how people reacted once Kim Minjun and the other guys made it out of the dungeon alive and successfully. We will see what happens next in The Dark Mage’s Return to Enlistment Chapter 47.
The Division Officer is wary of all the attention that Kim Minjun will be getting again because attention is not really always a good thing. It just means that more people will be coming after him because of their jealousy to drag him down. Of course, the Division Officer wishes that Minjun wouldn’t get hurt because of it.
At the end of the chapter we saw that Minjun has caught some big shot’s attention and we still don’t know if his intentions are good or bad. Only time will tell what this would mean for him or if it would pose any problems for him although we are hoping it would be the opposite instead.
Of course, his wish for a relaxing time falls apart because dungeon breaks start happening and now he has to enlist in the army as a hunter. Recap
In the previous chapter of The Dark Mage’s Return to Enlistment, the Division Commander was obviously very tensed because of the unexpected anomalous dungeon where his subordinates were stuck without any proper equipment. There was no telling if his men would make it out alive since anything was possible inside.
Of course, his silver lining was the fact that Kim MInjun dove inside the dungeon along with his men and seeing how strong Minjun is, he was hoping that everyone would be safe at least. He uses a mana explosive device to forcefully open the dungeon gate and people start emerging from it.
Of course, our MC needs to come up with a reason that would at least look plausible since he just can’t say the truth. He says that he was looking forward to getting treated to a meal by the Division Commander since it was his day off and he jumped in the dungeon when he saw it was suspicious.
The Division Commander surprisingly accepts that all and even Kim Minjun was shocked because he did not expect that. The Division Commander tells Minjun that he is attracting too much attention and although Minjun doesn’t find any problem with it, the Division Commander is concerned but promises to help him.
He also asks if Minjun wanted anything and Minjun asks for the stone in his office that was emitting demonic energy. The Division Commander explains that it is a dungeon by-product and hands it over to Minjun. He levels up once again after absorbing the energy from the stone.
