What happened in The Curse of Oak Island Season 10 Episode 22?
When the crew visited archaeoastronomer Adriano Gaspani, they made their most unexpected discovery. The study of how ancient stone structures were erected to coincide with stars or other celestial beings is known as archaeoastronomy.
The Great Pyramid at Giza and Stonehenge are just two prominent instances of this. In fact, the field can be utilized for dating a stone monument. A star will rise and establish itself in a different location over time because the positioning of the stars in the dark sky changes over the centuries.
This may seem like a way to assign a specific era to a monument. Adriano got to work and found six stars that lined up precisely with Nolan’s cross on Oak Island. Nolan’s Cross is a formation made of six huge rocks that spans hundreds of feet and is located on Oak Island, close to the marsh.
Expert scholar Brian Pharoah revealed to the guys earlier in the season that he utilized sacred geometric amounts to determine that Nolan’s cross pointed toward the area of the Currency Pit and the garden shaft. This information has led to the stone monument’s importance in the island’s mystery growing more and more.
The men also visited two underground cave systems in Italy, Camerano and Osimo, both of which date back more than 2,001 years. From the 14th century upward, the knights sought safety from persecution in the warren of caves, which later evolved into Templar castles and then areas of refuge.
The Oak Island team discovered carvings on the walls that resembled symbols they had observed on the walls of other Templar buildings in Portugal and Nova Scotia. A circular form sign with a dot in the center was discovered by Alex and Peter, and it matched the carving that was discovered on the HO granite in the 1920s.
The men also discovered a carving of a goose paw, a symbol they had previously seen on a rock in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, which is thought to be the work of Templar stonemasons.
Billy Gerhardt and a few of the others also removed the mud and water from the alleged ramp in the marsh region. The guys seemed to corroborate that this stone feature is what links the paved section to the stone route.
