Directed together by Priscilla Pugliese and Natalie Smith, the show Stupid Wife is a Brazillian series that has found fans worldwide. This enemies-to-lovers romance drama follows the lives of our leads, Luiza and Valentina, whose lives get intertwined with each other in a way we are sure you won’t see coming.
Nathalia Sodre has written the screenplay of the show bringing together actresses Priscila Reis in the role of Luiza Campos and Priscila Buiar in the role of Valentina Campos, along with actors Thomas De Araujo, Ingrid Pedroza, Gabi Lamos, Marcelo Petzen, Helio Garcia, Ana Luiza, Wayne Marinho, Ingrid Klug, Natalie Smith, among others in supporting roles.
Airing since 2022, Stupid Wife is currently in the middle of its third season. If you remember, we started the show with our leads still in college, studying law, and while they did belong to the same college, they led completely different lives.
We were introduced to Valentina, a girl who had the power to bring such strong feelings of hatred in Luiza, who believed that Valentina had all the flaws a human could possibly have. The show does a remarkable job at convincing fans that there are some higher forces at play when they skip time to ten years later, with Luiza and Valentina married to each other.
We did think that fate was at play here, but the producers had a logical reason in mind for the story. Find out all about the show and its upcoming episode below.
The Plot
We were told that Luiza had gone through a traumatic event, one that caused her to develop disassociation amnesia. It was because of this that Luiza was unable to remember the past ten years of her life. She was left with no memory of whether she completed law school, how she came to like and accept Valentina, how their relationship progressed to getting married to each other, and so on.
The first season was all about this journey of self-discovery that Luiza went on to learn all about what happened in the past ten years, but the journey was not just hers alone, as we also saw Valentina make constant efforts to win the love of her life, Luiza, back.
Over the two seasons that have already been released, we saw their relationship progress a lot. The two found each other once again, but their story doesn’t stop there. As life does to everybody, new obstacles continue to arise in the path. In the previous episode of the season, we saw the couple deal with Leo’s custody matters, which took a heavy toll on Valentina, especially.
This third season started with Catarina filing a lawsuit to get Leo’s custody transferred to her, which came as such a shock to the leading couple. The matter is intense and heavy, and we believe that the upcoming episodes will continue to revolve around it.
Release Date & Where to Watch
While the producers of the show have yet to confirm the total number of episodes for this season, we speculate that the third season will also have eight episodes, just like its preceding seasons. This season has already put out three episodes, and the fourth one is all set for release on Thursday, December 14th, 2023. The episodes usually run for no longer than thirty minutes and can be watched as they air at 8:00 PM (EST).
