The recent chapter opens up the World Of Repose, where Tusk and Beru was talking about the world. We see that when Beru wishes good morning to Tusk, he says that although he also wanted to say good morning to him as well, there is no day or night in the world of shadows. Later Beru shows him a kind of robe and asks him how is it looking on him, Tusk identifies it as a robe that looks exactly like the hooded jacket that their Liege a few days ago.
When Tusk wears hi, he feels very grateful to Liege and says that he likes it very much, so much so that he is almost tempted to make it every Magic Solder’s duty to wear that robe; Beru, after seeing the Orb says that it would be better to turn it into a staff and wield it rather than carry it around in his hand.
Tusk says that the one that Beru suggested is a great idea, and if he is truly the best artisan, he can entrust him with his staff, whereas the artisans say that he should leave it to them. They are merely happy that they will get the opportunity to use the sacred wood their Liege bestowed upon them.
Solo Leveling Chapter 188 Recap
This is the World of Repose, it is infinitely vast, and because there are close to ten million soldiers residing there, everyone lives, thereby assisting one another. The soldiers are deeply connected to the mind of the Monarch, and as the power of the Monarch becomes stronger, they begin to resemble the recurrent Monarch’s mind. In other words, the soldiers, who deserved destruction and strived for such, were starting to learn the human side of things.
With the many emotions that human has, it is refreshing to experience and fill an empty heart with something new. Soldiers that are seeping, soldiers that are training, soldiers that are chatting, and even soldiers that grab each other by the collar and raise their voices, their nonexistent characteristics began to form, and they began living in this world with their diversity, Jiwoo thanks his Liege for inviting him into a world that he never imagined, and now he likes his Liege very much.
After this, there were some panels that literally gave goosebumps to all the fans who have been following Solo Leveling for a long time because we get a flashback of when Jiwoo got his first shadow knight, and it is more interesting about this. This time we are getting a different perspective from the Shadows.
Later in the chapter, we see that some of the shadow knights, that were giants arrive and say that they are there on the orders of Grand Marshal Bellion. Tusk thinks that this means there were magic Soldiers among the new recruits and believe that this is not more than a waste of their bulk, blasting magic with that size, and wonders what he can say to them.
Later, Tusks says that from here on, he shall describe in detail what he has accomplished during the first battle their great Liege fought again the Demon King and every achievement he had accomplished in the rifts of dimensions and wanted him to listen carefully, but he gets interrupted by the Commander.
When Tusks ask him what business he has to come looking for him, he says that it is going to begin soon and believes that all the soldiers above the general grade, who closely sever the Liege, should cheer for him. When Tusk looks out of the magical window into the human world, he finds out that Jiwoo has finally met Lady Hae In, because everyone gets excited.
After that, we hear someone saying that the place he met for the first time was a strange dimension made from the power of the Monarch. His mission was to test him and who had entered there since his Liege wanted to see him; he was a human worthy enough to become his vessel.
At that point, he was already assuming a farewell from his Liege and that his Liege, who had lost interest in war after forgiving the rulers, would have sufficient reasons as to why he had sho this much interest in an insignificant human.
His Liege’s orders were absolute; without even thinking of asking for his talent or dissuading him, he could only answer that he would follow his orders, and that was all the shadow could do. This is the reason why he stood there alone in that strange dimension to test his qualification with most of his original powers sealed.
This mysterious person then reveals that this appearance is the form he had before he encountered his Liege, no matter how many infinite powers the World of Repose had, to think that it was able to recreate the same senses at that time as well, that architect that he was able to make that refined stage by using the powers of the Liege.
He belies that only that level of elaborateness would be able to make that human’s body into a body that would slowly accept the powers of the Liege. Later, we see this person sitting on the throne, where he says that he is there already because this was the time when he started sensing his presence, and he says that he should come fast because he is waiting for him.
But at the same time believes that this is making him more arrogant, and it might feel disrespectful. This person then thinks that the human that will be tested now has the consciousness of the Liege imbued inside him, so it is a bit strange to show himself sitting on the throne before the Liege.
When Jiwoo finally enters, this person says that even if that mission was not the last mission entrusted to him, he had no thoughts of being negligent in this battle, and if he is considered to be insufficient, then he will die by his hands, and then the time comes where we finally got to know what this mysterious person is because he was none other than the Blood Red Commander Igris.
Igris says that whether he befits that throne or not, and this was when his battle against Igris started, but the result was disappointing. He was busy evading Igris’s sword without possessing the talent nor the ability to overpower the abilities he had before his death. However, since he cannot inflict any damage on him without striking the inside of his armor, he supposes that this is the only method.
When he approaches Igris, Igris sees that he is planning to fight him with his bare hands, he has shown a sign of impressive courage for a human, he says that he like his animated gaze, but at the same time, he wonders that does he have the skills to match it.
