The new season for the horror anthology is returning with a bang after Shudder announced its renewal for the fifth season. The fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the 5th season of the Slasher series. The series is created by Aaron Martin and each season of the series follows a new storyline.

The series has been a roller coaster for the viewers from the day it premiered on Super Channel on April 1, 2016. The wait for the fans for the release of the new season is almost over, with the Shudder channel announcing the premiere date of the series. The last two season of the show hasn’t done well as the viewers were bored with the confusing plot lines thus, the hopes for the fifth season to do well is high.

The fifth season is expected to have eight episodes total with a run time of 46-53 minutes. The plot for every season follows a masked killer with no known motive of killing their victims. The first season “The Executioner,” followed Sarah Bennett and how her arrival in her hometown led to a series of copycat murders like that of her parents.

The second season “Guilty Party,” follows the murder of Talvinder Gill by a group of camp counselors and their entrapment in the same resort, ending with the tragic murders of the murderers of Talvinder. The third season “Solstice,” follows the murder of Kit Jennings, a drug and sex addict killed by someone using Druid. After a year the killer returns and starts to kill everyone involved in Jennings’s murder.

The fourth season “Flesh & Blood,” follows the murder of a wealthy family who has met on a scheduled island for a reunion.

Slasher Season 4 Recap –

The fourth season “Flesh & Blood,” follows the Galloway family, who are a bunch of affluent self-centered individuals as they travel to a scheduled island for a family reunion. The series follows the family as they compete for the Spencer trophy in the family.

The family has always been competitive with each other to the point of danger and aggression. This time the stakes for winning the Spencer Games are high as he is leaving his inheritance to the winner of the game. The series begins with the killing of family members one by one. There are two ways of getting killed this season, one being by the hands of your family member, and the other being killed by the sociopath under the mask.

This series has no good guy in it, even though some characters appear to have a good heart, only for them to be revealed as classist, and self-centered in the end. The masked killer is revealed to be Dr.Trinh, who is hired by Spencer to kill his successors. This time the killer doesn’t have any motivation or a good reason to go killing.

The reason behind the failure of this season of the series is the killer didn’t have a backstory and used to murder people because she enjoys killing people. It is later revealed Spencer was the first victim of Dr. Trinh and has been killed at the beginning of the series.

The series ended with only Liv and Theo surviving to the end. Liv kills Theo when he reveals his history with mass murder and how he killed several children after drunk driving in a daycare.

Slasher Season 5- Episodes 1 & 2

The fans are curious to know what is going to happen in the upcoming episodes of the horror Anthology series Slasher. Here we’ll get the gist of the beginning of the fifth season of the Slasher series. The fifth season titled “Ripper” heads back in time to the late 19th century.

This time the killer doesn’t target the poor and downtrodden instead this time, the killer targets the rich and powerful. The first episode will follow the introduction of the killer as Toronto’s elite are being thrown into panic when a member of the upper class is murdered brutally. A killer nicknamed “Widow” is on the loose.

The first episode will also introduce Detective Kenneth who is assigned to the case to help Regina Simcone, the victim’s wife get closure. Basil Garvey, the most powerful man in Toronto controls the investigation as it appears that he, with seven other upper-class members, is the target.
The second episode begins with Widow striking again and Enid Jenkins, an intrepid newspaper editor, determined to capitalize on the murders taking place in Toronto.

Detective Kenneth and Dr. Melansa discover the killer being left-handed, and Kennethb zones in on Basil Garvey’s muscle, Eddie Jacob, thus angering Detective Kenneth’s boss. The episode ends with Regina looking into the realm of the spirits for answers on her own. She turns to George to keep her insanity intact.

Enid newspaper publishes the declaration of another gory murder by Widow. The series will further follow the new murders done by Widow and the unmasking of the killer by Detective Kenneth.
