Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 22 will release on May 19, 2022. The official synopsis for the upcoming Episode reads, “Sheldon struggles to cope with his first signs of puberty; Mary and George Sr. both hunt for new jobs; Georgie and Meemaw take a business trip across the border.” Titled “A Clogged Pore, a Little Spanish and the Future,” the Episode is directed by Alex Reid, with the teleplay by Steven Molaro, Nick Bakay, and Nadiya Chettiar. In the trailer to the next Episode of Young Sheldon S05E22, we can see Mary and George Sr. contending with the fact that they’re both living without jobs, in a house that they aren’t done paying for yet. We also see Georgie expressing his financial worries. He doesn’t have a job either, plus he’s having a baby. Georgie needs cash, and he succinctly puts it so in the trailer. The next shot we see is of Georgie and Meemaw heading off to somewhere in the car. From the synopsis, we know that they’re heading across the border for a business opportunity.
While everyone else is dealing with the economic struggles, Sheldon’s facing a bodily one. He’s going to be contending with the first signs of puberty. In the promo, we see him express his concerns for the future with Missy. The latter is a bit more optimistic about the future than Sheldon. Missy talks about how she’s excited about driving and marriage to Vanilla Ice, no less, which Sheldon obviously confuses for an actual snowcone.
