Palworld Online, a new mobile MMO based on Pocketpair’s popular survival game franchise, has been officially announced for release in 2026. The upcoming title will bring the Palworld universe to iOS and Android devices through a partnership with Singapore-based developer and publisher Garena.
Unlike the original Palworld experience, which focuses on survival, exploration, and base building, Palworld Online is designed as a larger multiplayer-focused adventure. The game will feature a new story, additional quests, expanded lore, and MMO-style online interactions while maintaining the franchise’s core features, including capturing Pals and building bases.
Palworld Online Expands the Franchise With Mobile MMO Gameplay
Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld Online is being developed by Garena under an official license. The project will allow players to explore a “seamless open world” while experiencing cooperative gameplay and PvE content designed specifically for mobile platforms.
Although details about new maps, additional Pals, and monetization systems have not been revealed, the announcement marks another major expansion for the Palworld brand. The franchise has already grown beyond the original game, with Pocketpair also exploring other projects, including a Palworld card game.

Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe expressed confidence in the partnership with Garena, highlighting the company’s experience with global mobile publishing.
“Garena has extensive experience in global publishing, localisation, and live operations for mobile games,”
Mizobe said.
“We are pleased to work with Garena on the licensed development of Palworld Online and look forward to seeing a new Palworld experience brought to players worldwide.”
Garena has worked on numerous mobile gaming projects over the years, including titles based on major international franchises. The company’s experience with live-service games is expected to help Pocketpair expand Palworld beyond its existing player base.
However, the move to mobile may divide fans of the original game. While mobile MMOs are extremely popular in several markets, some players have expressed concerns about potential microtransactions and how the new format could affect the Palworld formula.
Pocketpair previously revealed that it has been expanding its development team to support the continued growth of the franchise. With Palworld Online being handled by Garena, the studio can continue focusing on the main Palworld experience while allowing the series to reach a wider audience.
The full release date for Palworld Online has not yet been announced, but the MMO is expected to launch sometime in 2026.
