Jung Ja – Mi Rae’s grandmother shows that she is still a vulnerable individual who wants to feel loved by her family members. When Hyun Jae confesses his feelings for Mi Rae, she is hesitant to believe that he likes her. She feels that Hyun Jae confessing his feelings for her is very abrupt. Through her eyes, it seems that Hyun Jae confessing to her had no build-up since the lawyer had made it very clear to Mi Rae that he is not the one to love others or is even looking for a relationship. Hyun Jae is quick to clear the air by saying that his feelings for her have been growing steadily. It is just at this point in time, that he is confessing his feelings to her.
On the other end of the spectrum, we have the “casual” couple. These days, whenever Hae Jun opens her fridge, she has flashbacks of Yoon Jae remarking why her fridge is so empty. On a late night, after Hae Jun has already had a filling dinner, Yoon Jae texts her to have dinner together. However, Hae Jun declines and says that her old version would have jumped at the chance to have dinner with Yoon Jae. But, she decided to play hard-to-get, and Yoon Jae catches on and he starts playing hard-to-get as well.
Yu Na has finally started her job over at Bong Foods. She seems to go through some workplace bullying and harassment, but she seems to endure everything like a champ. After her day is finished, she and Soo Jae have a dinner consisting of convenience store food like ramen and sausages. Yu Na mentions to Soo Jae if they should get married for real, and Soo Jae seems surprised with how the conversation has taken a turn. Yu Na jokes that since Soo Jae has taken so long to respond, she rescinds the proposal.
