The Disney+ Star Wars miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi chronicles the life of the Jedi Master ten years after the timeline of Star Wars: Episode III: The Revenge of The Sith. The Kenobi miniseries were filmed all over the place. From England and Scotland to the United States of America. Because of COVID, initial photography took place in May 2021. But that was postponed and had to be resumed later on, and the photography for Obi-Wan continued and concluded in September 2021.
Los Ángeles, California, United States of America
It’s no surprise that Obi-Wan Kenobi was shot in the Mecca of cinematography, sunny liberal Los Ángeles. Here, around the month of September in 2021, the crew and cast of this LucasFilm production gathered to shoot several sequences at the East LA College swimming pool against the backdrop of a blue screen.
Additionally, several scenes were shot at the MBS Media Campus, located in Manhattan Beach on Rosecrans Ave. Furthermore, MBS Media Campus has the most avant-garde, state-of-the-art equipment in movies today, it’s been operating over two decades and it’s been the set for other Star Wars productions like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Lastly, some different sequences were shot in El Segundo on Santa Mónica Bay
Little Marlow, England, United Kingdom
Little Marlow is a town located in Buckinghamshire, England. It is situated on the River Thames, about 5 km south-east of High Wycombe and 4 miles (6 km) west of Maidenhead. The village has a population of around 1,500 people. The town is mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) when it was known as Merlaue. It was a small village with just a few houses and a church. Over the centuries, the town has grown and changed, but it has always been a lovely place to live.
The Crew In England
The production crew even went to the village and parish of Little Marlow in Buckinghamshire, England, for filming purposes. According to sources, the team began work in January 2021 on erecting a gigantic film set at a deserted quarry in the village, which was expected to stay for at least three years. However, many villagers were upset that the actors and crew had moved there, disrupting their normally serene and quiet lives.
Even though the production was bound to create some jobs for the residents, many people expressed worries about the number of lights, noise, traffic, and the impact on animals. Despite the controversy, it appears that the cast and crew shot significant moments on the built set. Furthermore, there are many interesting things to see and do in Little Marlow. The River Thames is a great place for fishing, swimming, or just enjoying a peaceful stroll. There are also several good pubs and restaurants in the village, as well as several shops. Glen Tilt, Scotland
In addition, some sequences were captured in Glen Tilt, which is located in Perthshire, Scotland, in the far north. According to sources, numerous sets were detected in May 2021 at various sites along the River Tilt. Also, Glen Tilt is a valley in the Highlands of Scotland. The river Tilt flows through the glen. The area is popular for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, and climbing. Glen Tilt is also home to several rare plants and animals. These include the Scottish wildcat, red deer, and golden eagles.
