Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Switch eShop charts for the week ending June 27, 2026, suggest that next week’s rankings could bring a major shake-up. While Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has comfortably held the top position since its release, Rhythm Heaven Groove is already making waves before launch. The upcoming rhythm game has climbed to the No. 2 spot in the charts thanks to strong digital pre-orders, setting up what could become Nintendo’s biggest eShop battle of the summer.

The latest rankings, published by Nintendo, also highlight the continued popularity of Nintendo’s evergreen library, with several long-running first-party titles remaining among the platform’s best-selling games.

Rhythm Heaven Groove is already challenging Tomodachi Life

Although Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream continues to lead the Nintendo Switch eShop’s rankings, Rhythm Heaven Groove has become the standout performer this week despite not yet being available to play.

The game’s digital pre-orders alone have been enough to push it to the No. 2 position.

The comment highlights just how much anticipation exists for Nintendo’s latest rhythm game. If those pre-orders convert into strong launch-week sales, Rhythm Heaven Groove could dethrone Tomodachi Life when next week’s eShop rankings are released.

Tomodachi Life has dominated the digital storefront since launch, making this one of the closest contests for the top spot in recent weeks.

Outside of the battle for first place, Nintendo’s latest eShop rankings once again demonstrate the lasting appeal of its biggest franchises.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate holds the No. 3 position, followed by Minecraft and Deltarune. Other Nintendo favorites such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party Jamboree, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continue to rank among the platform’s best-selling games.

The Pokémon franchise also maintains a significant presence across the charts. Pokémon FireRed, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Violet, and Pokémon LeafGreen all secured places in the week’s top-selling titles.

Third-party releases remain competitive as well, with EA Sports FC 26, Hogwarts Legacy, Persona 5 Royal, NBA 2K26, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and It Takes Two continuing to attract Switch players.

Download-only games remain led by Deltarune

Nintendo also released its latest download-only eShop rankings, where Deltarune once again claimed the No. 1 position.

The top three were rounded out by Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, while popular indie titles such as Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, Terraria, Nine Sols, and Hollow Knight continued to perform strongly.

Several newer releases and highly anticipated games also featured in the chart, including Hades 2, Tiny Bookshop, Dispatch, Mina the Hollower, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, and Hollow Knight: Silksong, reflecting the continued demand for digital-first experiences on the Nintendo Switch.

Next week’s rankings could bring a new No. 1

With Rhythm Heaven Groove launching next week, Nintendo’s upcoming eShop rankings could look very different. The game’s impressive pre-order performance suggests it has a realistic chance of overtaking Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, ending the life simulation title’s run at the top of the charts.

Regardless of which game claims first place, this week’s rankings reinforce the strength of Nintendo’s digital marketplace, where blockbuster first-party releases, beloved franchises, and standout indie games continue to coexist among the platform’s best sellers.
