With its October premiere drawing closer, Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! has introduced another member of its quirky cast. The TV anime adaptation of Muchimaro’s Kodansha 4-koma manga has released a new character trailer and visual for Komaru Michinoku, while also confirming that veteran voice actress Miyu Tomita will portray the eccentric student council member.
Who Is Komaru Michinoku?
Komaru Michinoku is one of the standout members of the student council in Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!. In Muchimaro’s original manga, she is immediately recognizable for her permanent eye bags, a defining feature that gives her a constantly sleepy appearance despite her energetic and cheerful personality.
The newly released character trailer and visual faithfully recreate that signature design, giving fans their best look yet at how Komaru has been adapted for the TV anime. The promotional video also offers a glimpse of her playful personality, highlighting the offbeat humor that has made the manga popular with readers.
Komaru is voiced by Miyu Tomita, whose previous anime roles include Yaeka Kitamori in Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk and Index in A Certain Magical Index.
Staff and What’s Next for the Anime
The anime is being directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa at Passione. Tatsuwa previously directed the manga’s promotional animations and is also known for his work on Nisekoi. Character designs are handled by Ryo Imamura, while Masahiro Yokotani is overseeing the series composition and scripts.
With Komaru Michinoku now joining the lineup, the anime has officially introduced three of its central cast members. The production has confirmed Ume Mizunoe, Hisako Kotobuki, and Komaru Michinoku through individual trailers and visuals.
More character reveals are expected before the series premieres in October, with student council members such as Tan Otori and Arisu Terui likely to receive their own promotional videos.
