The original soundtrack for the TV anime Mebius Dust is officially set to be released digitally on September 16, 2026. The album features the complete score composed by acclaimed Japanese electronic artist and producer DÉ DÉ MOUSE, marking the first time he has independently composed the full soundtrack for an anime series.
Mebius Dust is an original anime based on the concept created by Hajime Shinagawa, which won the Grand Prize in the “Kids’ Game Anime” category of the original anime initiative Project ANIMA. Set in a working-class neighborhood called Shinkatsushika, the story follows high school students living ten years after a devastating meteorite strike.
The disaster brought a mysterious particle known as Mebius Dust to the world, causing some young people to develop special abilities called “Rams.” Against this backdrop, the series combines supernatural battles with a coming-of-age story centered on teenagers carrying emotional and physical scars. The upcoming soundtrack aims to expand that atmosphere through DÉ DÉ MOUSE’s distinctive electronic sound.
DÉ DÉ MOUSE Brings Mebius Dust’s Emotional World to Life Through Music
The Mebius Dust original soundtrack contains 55 tracks created to reflect the anime’s characters, setting, and emotional conflicts. DÉ DÉ MOUSE is known for combining nostalgic and dreamlike electronic sounds with expressive melodies, giving the score a style that complements the unusual world of the series.
The musician revealed that the creative process moved quickly, with the entire soundtrack completed within just one month after discussions with the anime’s director. In a statement about the project, DÉ DÉ MOUSE described Mebius Dust as “a coming-of-age drama set in
‘Shinkatsushika,’ featuring youngsters who carry deep emotional and physical scars.”
He also explained his connection to the anime’s premise, saying,
“I absolutely love the premise that our world could possibly turn out like the one in the story tomorrow, and I’m truly delighted to have been able to bring the soundtrack for Mebius Dust to life with my melodies!”
According to DÉ DÉ MOUSE, the musical direction was carefully coordinated with the director before he composed all 55 tracks. He said the work was created with the kind of energy that reminded him of an initial creative impulse, adding that he approached each composition as a reflection of the characters’ emotions.
“In each song, I’ve translated the characters’ inner thoughts into melodies in my own way,”
he said.

The Mebius Dust soundtrack will be available through major streaming services and digital download platforms beginning September 16. Fans will be able to listen through services including Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, AWA, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, KKBOX, and Qobuz, while digital downloads will also be available through platforms such as the iTunes Store, Rekochoku, and mora.
DÉ DÉ MOUSE is the solo project of Daisuke Endo, a songwriter, producer, composer, keyboardist, DJ, and visual creator. He made his debut in 2007 with the album tide of stars and became known for his innovative “melody cut-up” approach, which reconstructs sampled vocals into new melodic forms.
Since then, he has developed a career spanning electronic music, production, live performance, remixing, and composition. His work has also taken him to festivals including Fuji Rock and taicoclub, as well as overseas performances across the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, and the United States.
With the complete Mebius Dust score arriving digitally, viewers will soon have the chance to experience DÉ DÉ MOUSE’s interpretation of the anime’s world and characters through music designed to capture its emotional core.
