Mayans M.C Season 4 Episode 4 sees EZ rebuilding himself as a new leader for the Mayans. Last time on the show, after Bishop expressed his frustrations over the merging of Mayans, Alvarez decided to strip him from the position of Vice President. The position was handed to EZ, who will be carrying out his first mission as the VP along with his brother Angel and Yuma Mayans’ Manny. EZ had a lot to prove as the mission may end up forming good relations between Mayans and El Banquero.
EZ’s group had to smuggle Randall, El Banquero’s accountant, and his son over the border. The group felt pedophile vibes from Randall, and eventually, Angel discovered Randall sexually abusing his own son at night. This saw an impulse move coming from Angel, who ended up shooting Randall down to close the episode. The fourth Episode sheds light on the aftermath of the event, and here is what went down.
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 4 Recap
Mayans M.C Season 4 Episode 4 opens up right where we left off with Randall dying. Manny believes Angel did the right thing and shoots Randall further. They leave him to die, with Manny insisting they should call the little boy’s real parents. Back at the Mayan meeting, Canche questions the incident.
Manny takes the fall for shooting Randall while EZ takes the responsibility as the leader of the group. Canche wonders what they will answer to El Banquero. Alvarez asks him to tell El Banquero that they don’t protect kid touchers. Miguel Galindo’s former head of security Nestor Oceteva becomes the new prospect for the Santo Padre crew. Coco, on the other hand, will be going to Oakland to improve the relations of the gang.

EZ tries to talk things out with Canche, but Canche clearly states he doesn’t like EZ and wants him to stay away from him. On top of that, Canche is sending Manny back to Yuma, who was improving relations with Santo Padre. Alvarez later gives EZ a book that will help him understand the history of Mayans and how he should lead his gang.
Throughout the Episode, EZ spends time reading the book and understanding the rules. Towards the ending, EZ comes up with a solution for the gang and pitches Alvarez to reinstate the “kill switch clause,” which will allow the gang to remove any member if there is a unanimous vote. EZ’s confrontation earlier and a fight with Bishop became examples that they don’t need these two who are not helping with the healing process.
Amidst all of this, we saw Gilly spending time at his nephew’s birthday party. Meanwhile, Creeper finds a new romantic interest in the form of a woman he met at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. EZ, on his side, ends up discovering a letter from Gabby to Felipe where she states she managed to get an internship. The Episode comes to a close with Sons Of Anarchy greenlighting a war with Mayans. Apart from all of this, we also learned that Galindo is still alive out there, living at a convent.
Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 4 Review
Let’s come to EZ first, Mayans M.C. Season 4 Episode 4 has been building up EZ as the new leader since the very beginning of the season. EZ stood up to protect his hood at the time when they knew they were gonna die. The next Episode saw EZ being one of the first people wanting to mend the relationship with the Mayans.
The journey of EZ becoming a formidable leader came to a close conclusion in this Episode. Especially with EZ pitching in the idea of bringing back a role that will help him reinstate peace among the Mayans. No matter how much Canche claims they can’t trust EZ, Alvarez saw a future in him that is coming true.
With that, EZ may continue focusing on the same, and now a letter from the past may have given him another boost. Meanwhile, the show continues to follow smaller plots where the other characters grow after the big battle of the season premiere.
Over here, we saw Creeper possibly forming a romance with the woman he met in the previous Episode. Lastly, the Mayans-Sons of Anarchy war that has been building up for the past few episodes has finally received a start, and it may build up in the coming episodes.
