Fox Turkey’s newest drama series, Kirli Sepeti, has started airing its episodes. Translating to Dirty Basket, this is the kind of series that’ll have you absorbed in its drama-filled twists, wholesome friendships, and surprising revelations.
Kirli Sepeti’s storyline centers on three maids working for extremely wealthy people in a well-off part of Istanbul. They share their problems and happiness and soon become nothing less than a family. Songül, Hayriye, and Medina are the three friends Kirli Sepeti will mostly revive around.
Not only are the maids an integral part of these rich Turkish homes, but they somehow become intertwined with them and witness the dark side of these otherwise wealthy families. Despite their problems, Songül, Hayriye, and Medina will do anything to protect each other.
Kirli Sepeti’s cast consists of Ayca Bingöl as Songül, Ceren Moray plays Hayriye, Medina’s role will be played by Cansu Tosun, Hero will be played by Serkay Tütüncü, Murat by Halil Ibrahim Ceyhan and Aylin by Melissa Döngel.
Kirli Sepeti: What Is The Show About?
Three maids, Songül, Hayriye, and Medina, are busy posing for a group photo when some interviewers show up. Their wholesome moment is ruined when they are informed about the death of a maid that they were familiar with.
Meryem was a young pregnant woman who used to work in the same place as Songul, and she was last seen on the house’s terrace before she jumped off and ended her life.
While the death brings trauma and heartbreak for many, it also opens up a series of questions about the sudden death. Who was responsible for Meryem’s death? What drove her to do this to herself? And many more such suspenseful questions, which we’ll be seeing answered through Kirli Sepeti’s episodes.
Songul’s daughter, Ilkgul, is the first one to inform others about the suicide. Ilkgul is still in university and was close friends with Meryem. Her death leaves Ilkgul in trauma, and she has a hard time dealing with the loss.
With their friends by their sides, these three maids will be experiencing different events in their lives. They witness dark secrets that these rich people hide to come off as elegant and mannered. Cheating, murders, and other bitter acts are more common in these families than one might think.
