The second stage of Steel Ball Run begins streaming on September 25, 2026, exclusively on Netflix. One new episode will arrive each Friday, with 11 episodes planned for the current release batch.
The official Steel Ball Run website confirms the weekly schedule, while Netflix’s Tudum identifies the September 25 premiere as the beginning of the 2nd STAGE.
The first stage, which consists of a 47-minute episode, is already available on the platform. Netflix therefore expects viewers to continue directly from Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli’s opening journey into the next portion of the race.
The Anime Expands Hirohiko Araki’s Most Celebrated Arc
Steel Ball Run adapts the seventh major story arc of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Unlike the earlier parts of the anime, the story takes place in a new continuity following the events of Stone Ocean.
Netflix’s official anime announcement describes the franchise as having surpassed 120 million copies in circulation worldwide. The company also confirmed that the adaptation reunites members of the creative team responsible for previous JoJo anime installments.
Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi are directing the adaptation, with Shougo Sakata voicing Johnny Joestar, Yohei Azakami as Gyro Zeppeli, and Kaito Ishikawa as Diego Brando. Netflix’s current cast listing also includes Rie Takahashi, Kenta Miyake, Masaaki Mizunaka, and other performers.
