Monster Hunter Rise has officially surpassed 20 million units sold worldwide, giving Capcom’s acclaimed action RPG another major milestone more than five years after its original release. The figure includes sales across Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Capcom celebrated the achievement with special artwork and a message thanking players for supporting the game. The publisher wrote,

“Monster Hunter Rise has hit the magnificent milestone of 20 million copies sold!”,

while encouraging hunters to continue supporting the franchise.

MONSTER HUNTER RISE CONTINUES TO SELL YEARS AFTER LAUNCH

Monster Hunter Rise originally launched for Nintendo Switch in March 2021 before expanding to PC and later PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Its sales have continued to grow through the game’s expanded availability, with the Sunbreak expansion also helping maintain interest in the title.

Capcom’s previous sales update listed Monster Hunter Rise at 19.3 million units as of June 30, 2026. The latest milestone therefore represents another 700,000 copies sold in just a few months.

The game’s 20 million sales also put it within striking distance of Monster Hunter: World, which had reached 22.4 million units in Capcom’s latest published sales figures. Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Wilds had sold 11.8 million units as of June 2026.

The milestone arrives as Capcom continues expanding the Monster Hunter franchise across platforms. Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, giving the series another major release on Nintendo hardware later this year.

For players who have yet to experience Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom is also highlighting ongoing digital sales in its celebratory message. The 20 million milestone demonstrates the game’s continued commercial strength and keeps Rise among Capcom’s biggest-selling releases.
