Law & Order Season 2 Episode 22 Recap
Detective Elliot Stabler discovered evidence against a rogue cop. He found that a cop shot his father in the leg back in the day and framed him as an innocent child. He challenged the retired cop. Gus is the name of the man. Gus used to assist Stabler in firing a firearm. Stabler is now attempting to bring him down.
Stabler discovered evidence against Gus and confronted him, and this proved to be a mistake later on when Gus told Frank Donnelly about Stabler. Donnelly noticed that Stabler was looking into the Brotherhood. Consequently, he forewarned his goons and devised a strategy: They would kill Stabler, and he had no idea.

A Set-Up
When Donnelly mentioned bidding goodbyes to Stabler, he suspected something was wrong. Stabler notified his Sergeant that Donnelly was acting strangely, and she advised him to be cautious. But they hadn’t anticipated Donnelly luring Stabler into a trap. Or that he and his pals would be waiting for Stabler to confront him about being a rat. When Stabler realized it was a trap, he attempted to flee. To escape the assault of gunshots, he flung himself out a window. He was on the ground when one of the officers shot him many times.
There was no telling whether he’d make it. He hadn’t told anyone he was going or that Donnelly had asked to meet there. Stabler was on the ground while his Sergeant made arrests. Sergeant Bell apprehended Congressman Leon Kilbride because he was associated with the Mercy Killers gang, a dangerous gang whose leader vanished off the gang’s radar. Even his wife had no idea where he was. She was requesting that Nova come to her if she had any answers. Only Stabler had recovered from his attempted murder, so the gang was still in the dark about what the cops knew and what the cops did.
The Arrests
Stabler didn’t have faith in Donnelly. Because of that, he wore his vest to the conference. Stabler and his team began arresting all members of the Brotherhood. Donnelly was the only one they couldn’t find. Even Donnelly’s wife had no idea where he was. Stabler went to the house as a friend and discovered that she had packed her belongings. She informed him that Donnelly had approached her about starting afresh in Belize. She also told him that Donnelly began acting oddly after receiving a phone call.
It’s not about attempting to murder Stabler. Everyone was trying to assassinate Stabler. Cassandra was also upset because he assisted the Brotherhood in stealing two million dollars from her husband, and she became tired of having to wait for her husband to do it. Stabler had to worry about other cops in addition to Cassandra attempting to murder him. When Stabler took down the Brotherhood, he painted a target on his back, and those people were going to be highly enraged once it became public knowledge that Donnelly was dead. Rather than being apprehended, Donnelly hurled himself in front of a train. The Brotherhood has come to an end.
It Came Out On Top
There were still supporters. Before committing suicide, Donnelly received a great deal of assistance. Not everyone who was sympathetic or actively assisted was arrested. After all, was said and done, Stabler was even offered the Combat Medal. He didn’t want to accept it, but Bell persuaded him to. Cassandra’s charges for Preston’s murder were also withdrawn. She is still facing additional charges, but she did not murder her husband. Thus, it was a coincidence that Nova retired from the force and left town when someone attempted to frame Cassandra for her husband’s death.
