Recap and Review
The Demon King Diego receives an urgent update that the mystical World Tree, the source of life and power for the elves, has now been 70% corrupted by the spread of evil.
The sixth of his spiritual leaders warns that once the tree fully dies, the elves’ strength will rapidly deteriorate.
Confident that the damage is too severe for the elves to salvage, Diego commands his forces to prepare for imminent war.
Even if the elves mount an attack out of desperation, he believes victory is assured at this point. He gloats over the success of the Dragonic fruits in leeching away the tree’s essence.
Diego orders his armies to stand ready to advance as soon as the tree is completely withered.
However, he cautions against overeager assaults, reminding his generals about the prophecy delivered by the Great Spiritual Leader. The puppet he had been gleefully manipulating suddenly tumbles limply to the ground.
Though triumph seems within grasp, Diego remains wary of divine prophecy dictating the demon race’s fate.
He must tread carefully in vanquishing the elves, even as their last hope fades. Perhaps greater forces still guide the ultimate outcome of the spectral World Tree’s fate in unpredictable ways.
Alarmed by the news of the elves learning about the World Tree’s fading vitality, Demon King Diego swiftly summons his elite Silver Palm Mage forces. He commands them to intercept and capture any elven rescue parties while keeping them alive for interrogation.
However, when the Dragon King’s battalion encounters not elves but the unfamiliar figure of Ethan, Diego is shocked. Never having seen this stranger before, he anxiously watches their fierce battle unfold.
To his dismay, Ethan wields overpowering strength against the Dragon King’s trusted warriors. Diego hastily orders his battered troops to retreat and regroup.

Eventually, Archduke Ethan penetrates into the heart of the demon fortress with elven reinforcements. But Demon King Diego ambushes Ethan’s party, forcing a solo confrontation between the two mighty leaders.
Just when Ethan unleashes his devastating White Flames, convinced victory is at hand, Diego reveals one last devious trick.
The Great Spiritual Leader had previously bestowed upon Diego the “Deceptive Eye,” granting control over all living beings. Caught unaware, Ethan realizes he has fatally underestimated his foe.
With his mind and body no longer his own, he faces the terrifying prospect of becoming Diego’s puppet marionette.
