The Plot
The show takes us way back in time to the thirteenth century when Maulana Rumi was alive and imparting great knowledge. The show is specifically set during the time when, in Anatolia, the Mongolians were a permanent threat over the place, and the political and social situation within the borders of Anatolia was not all that good either.
With danger looming both outside and inside the land of Anatolia, Rumi emerged as a calming balm in front of the distressed population of the peninsula. Rumi took it upon himself to stand in front of his people to ease their fears and wake them up from their nightmares.
The show takes on a journey, giving us a glimpse of the lives of the people of Anatolia back then while also exploring the life of Rumi and how he managed to unite his people with his words of reason, logic, and compassion.
His words, quoted by many even now, remain timeless and continue to inspire change in many of us. The producers of the show have done an amazing job at making the series such an immersive experience for fans.
