Hell’s Kitchen Season 22 Premise – What To Expect?
The reality series will follow a similar format, with Ramsay dividing the 18 aspiring chefs into two teams, with women being on the same team while the men will be on the same team till the end, facing challenges together and hoping to make it to the end before getting eliminated for minor mistakes.
The series narrows down the aspiring chefs from eighteen to twelve to one winner. The women are often put in team red while men often become part of a blue team, with each chef getting a jacket with panels of their team color on their shoulders.
The team members are kept in the same team till Ramsay decides to change the team or reassign a team member to another team for an array of reasons. Each episode of Hell’s Kitchen features a challenge and a dinner service followed by an elimination of the chef with the least presentable dish.
The chefs have to start competing individually after only five of them remain in a single room wearing a black-paneled jacket. During the challenging part of the competition, an individual or the team is tasked with a cooking challenge by none other than Gordon Ramsay himself.
The challenge often includes different types of ingredients that the individuals have to work with to make a delicious dish or to replicate a popular dish by one of the known chefs. After the dinner service is over, Ramsay gathers both teams to announce the losing team before making the losing team select to choose two nominees for elimination.
The 22nd season of Hell’s Kitchen has the theme of “The American Dream,” with eighteen contestants from diverse contestants from all over America focusing on their dream of working for Gordon himself.
The first episode will witness the chefs being divided into a team of two and preparing signature dishes in hopes of impressing Gordon. The winning team will be rewarded with a private dinner with Gordon, while the losing team will have to clean the dirty kitchen left behind them.
Tension will run high after the contestants must deliberate and agree on the name of the chef who makes the best scallops.
