Güzel Günler’s season 1 storyline
29 years ago, on the attractive shores of Lake Van, two babies were born. The wise and experienced monk visited both families and predicted that the infants were destined to share a profound love, but warned that something terrible would eventually tear them apart.
As Selma and Mihran grew up, they fell deeply in love, just as Monk had predicted. They even became engaged, but their happiness was short-lived when a devastating fire forced Mihran to leave Van and move to Istanbul with his family. Selma, whom Mihran believed had set the fire, was left behind with nothing but memories of their love.
Seven long years passed without a single word being exchanged between Selma and Mihran until Monk passed away and left a heritage for them in Istanbul. Selma, accompanied by her little sister Leylim and her beloved cat Duman, set off on a journey to Istanbul to claim her inheritance.
As Selma travelled, Mihran was living in Istanbul with a large family and was on the brink of engagement to the beautiful Alya. But fate brought Selma and Mihran together once again, and as Monk had predicted, they fell in love all over again. The secrets of their past were revealed, and the two realised that they were truly meant to share the same life and destiny.
