Gülcemal: A Quick Recap
The first episode of Gülcemal, which was released on 06 April 2023, encircled the life of two siblings, Gülcemal and Gülendam, the siblings who are abandoned by their mother at a very early age. Many years later, these siblings finally moved in, and both of them had an envious lifestyle and wealth. However, the wounds which their mother gave them have not healed yet, and that is why they tend to have more anger issues. The day Gülcemal arrives at Bursa, he meets a beautiful girl Deva, who is soon going to get married.
Deva works at Gülcemal’s mother’s company. When Gülcemal gets to know that Deva is getting married, he tries his best to stop Deva from doing the same. In the second episode, Gülcemal offers Deva to leave her father to spend life with him. Situations turn out to be difficult for Deva, and that is why she decides to accept Gülcemal’s offer. However, she soon starts finding ways to run away, and for that, she is even ready to put her life in danger.
In the feud to escape from Gülcemal, Deva shoots him, but he is saved because Deva did it in need, and she had no intention to kill him. Furious, Gülcemal decides to punish Deva with the punishment to take care of him until the wound, which happened because of the gunshot, gets healed. Gülcemal drags Deva to his room and punishes her to live with him for a said period. On the other hand, Zafer has been making evil plans to kill Gülcemal.
In the fourth episode of Gülcemal, we see that Deva finally finds a way to leave the house, and when she finally decides to escape, Gülcemal, whom she had considered a monster, overwhelms her with his new face, which she never believed be real. Even Gülcemal agrees to send Deva away from him, but their love story does not end here, as the new twist brings both together again. Even though Deva willingly returns to Gülcemal’s home, he thinks that Deva is a spy and embarks on the mission to clear his doubt.
In the subsequent episodes, the tensions between Deva and Gülcemal increase as he becomes more cold-blooded towards her, and she starts having feelings for Gülcemal. On the other hand, Deva’s father is trying his best to get her out of Gülcemal’s prison, but she has already left the house on Gülcemal’s orders. Deva hides where her brother and father cannot find her with the hope that Gülcemal will try to find her to take her back. Subsequently, in episode eight, Gülcemal and Deva join hands as professional partners, and Gülcemal agrees to put a gun down and be warmer towards her.
