Fox’s newest cooking competition Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, will be coming out with a new episode this week. With only 9 contestants remaining in the challenge, things are bound to get dramatic and intense for these restaurant owners hoping to get ahold of the big prize money.
Airing on television since May 24th, 2023, Food Stars is yet another cooking series where Gordon tries to find the best restaurant or small business owner to invest in. Along with Janine Allis, Ramsay will be testing all of these contestants out through various challenges that not only would show their cooking skills, but also their sense of brand image. These young restaurant owners now arrive on Food Stars, hoping to impress Gordon and Janine enough that they could get ahold of the hefty cash prize of $250,000 along with a chance of getting to work with Gordon.
Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars started with a total of 14 contestants, but as we got further into the competition, only those with quick thinking and great tastes were able to make it to the end of the competition. Last week’s test was not only able to provide Gordon with the next name to get eliminated but it also helped them find out who wasn’t great at teamwork and other important factors needed for a successful business.
Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Episode 4: Recap
In the previous episode, all of the contestants had to run a delivery-only restaurant, as it would help the judges in evaluating their time management and advertising skills, along with the most important factor, quality. Back in Los Angeles, Gordon asks the 10 remaining workers to meet him at the place. The new challenge was revealed to the contestants, with all of them strictly being informed about the criteria they would be judged on.
Tony, Megan, Ashley, Sydney, and Aaron were made part of the red team while the blue team consisted of Caroline, Queen, Luther, Chris, and Lan. Operating a ghost kitchen that only deals with deliveries can be a rewarding yet quick-paced job. With food delivery services in Los Angeles thriving in the present times, these contestants had to prove that they could run a successful only delivery restaurant as well. The blue team comes up with the kind of food they’ll be serving for Downtown LA. They decide to go with Mediterranean cuisine with a twist.
On the red team’s side, they decide to go with classic American diner food with their special jam that could help the red team stand out from other local restaurants. Sydney is nervous that their grilled cheeseburger could end up being too simple for the people of LA. Gordon arrives at the kitchen and helps each team with their apps and dishes. With everyone in the competition being entrepreneurs of their own, a clash of opinions is expected. The day of the challenge arrives and both teams start receiving orders from LA’s office workers.
What the contestants didn’t know is that their food will also be judged by Debbie Roberts, CEO of Panera Bread, Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber as well as Uber Eats, along with MrBeast, who owns MrBeast Burger. After the challenge ends, the chefs meet up with Ramsay and he announces the winning team to be the Red team.
