Fate: The Winx Saga Season 3 is now canceled. I mean, this news came out as a huge shock to the fans who were expecting a release date and hoping to see the series once again on their Netflix screens. Till now, we have had 2 seasons of the series on the platform. This short was meant for a Bloom family reunion, but now that we are past that, Netflix has decided to move on to better things.
This is a teen drama series that was made by Nickelodeon. The plot is based on the animated series called the Winx Club. Iginio Straffi has created the show. In the lead of this series, we see Bloom. She is a fairy with powers related to the fire element. She gets herself admitted to a boarding school which is located in the Otherworld and is called Alfea.
Her palette completes a meeting with her roommates named Stella, Aisha, Terra, and Musa. They control the light, water, Earth, and mind elements, respectively. Bloom is naive when it comes to her past. But with the help of her friends, she is able to understand more of it all.
The threat of the antagonist forces the ancient creatures have come back to Alfea and threaten everyone’s lives. These characters are called the Burned Ones. Well, we were enjoying the fiction of this series a lot, but it was when the show was canceled that it hurt the fam right in the heart.
Brian’s Comments on Fate: The Winx Saga Season 3 cancellation
Talking about the whole cancellation thing, Brian Young, the showrunner of Fate: The Winx Saga, talked about how devastating this news is for all of them. Obviously, it was not very fun news to share, and Brian talked about how Netflix has decided to eliminate the series after its third season.
He also talked about how many of the Fate fandom loved this new season which was released recently on the platform. It took the team almost 4 years to make and release the two seasons. Brian talked about the same and said that it had been an amazing time with the whole team, and they are hoping to see each other again in the future if “fate” allows it.
Back in the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga, we saw some shocking discoveries, and even the seven episodes that aired put us in turmoil with a shocking reveal about Bloom’s actual past. Turns out that she was put in a stadis when she was just a baby.
She had always been in that phase for over 1000 years. This means that Bloom is all set to go on a mission into the Realm of Darkness. This is bound to take her to the place where she meets with the woman who gave birth to her all these centuries before.
Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 – Ending Explained
There were other loose ends in the series as well, which we do not think are going to be tied now that the series has been canceled by Netflix. It is revealed that Aisha comes to know that Grey is actually a blood witch. Obviously, this is a huge deal to everyone, including Bloom and the team. Because now that he wears as many Speedos as he likes, no one will be able to fully trust his innocence.
As for Terra, we see that she has recently come out as gay and started a new relationship with Kat. Another ending scene that literally made us get up and cry was the one when Beatrix ultimately dies. She decided to sacrifice her own life in order to save her team during the battle of Sebastian. But in the end, Shadow comes back and resurrects her, meaning that she is alive and well.
Aisha, Stella, and Terra were ultimately on a mission to get their higher fairy power by combining their strengths into one. Their elements of water, light, and Earth came together and combined. Also, now that Sebastian has been killed, the fairies who lost their powers on his account have finally got them back.
