Emily in Paris Season 4 brings even more excitement and tension as the characters face new challenges. With Part 1 already released and Part 2 set to debut on September 12th, Emily’s life is packed with romantic twists and personal dilemmas.
The show takes on heavier topics, such as false pregnancies and sexual harassment, all while keeping its usual stylish flair. Before Part 2 hits the screen, let’s take a moment to revisit the drama-filled first half of the season.
Love Triangle Resolved: Emily Chooses Between Gabriel and Alfie
In Season 4, Part 1, Emily finally makes a decision between her two love interests, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), during a masquerade ball. After the confusion in the Season 3 finale, all three characters find themselves single again.
At the event, both Gabriel and Alfie express their feelings for Emily, and she finds herself caught in another tricky situation. However, this time, she decides to be with Gabriel, leaving with him after the ball.
Alfie, unaware of her choice, mistakenly kisses a stranger dressed like Emily and then realizes the truth when he sees her leaving with Gabriel. This marks Alfie’s last appearance in Part 1, but there is still unresolved tension between him and Emily. Part 2 will likely show them addressing her decision, giving Alfie the closure he deserves.
Meanwhile, the love triangle between Emily, Gabriel, and Camille (Camille Razat) takes a new turn. Camille reconnects with her former lover, Sofia (Melia Kreiling), but their relationship falls apart. Camille announces her pregnancy, and Gabriel is thrilled to become a father.
However, the complicated bond between Camille, Gabriel, and Emily remains intact, especially since Camille and Sofia have now parted ways. This sets up even more intrigue as Part 2 approaches.
Gabriel and Camille Struggle With Unresolved Issues
Gabriel spends much of Part 1 working towards his dream of earning a Michelin star for his restaurant, L’Esprit de Gigi. With Emily’s support and the help of Luc’s (Bruno Gouery) girlfriend, who claims to be a Michelin inspector, Gabriel believes his goal is within reach.
However, a real Michelin critic later reveals that Luc’s girlfriend is a fraud and had been fired a year ago. Gabriel’s dreams are delayed, but instead of reacting with anger, he throws a party, which leaves his true feelings uncertain. We may see him come to terms with this disappointment in Part 2.
Camille also faces heartbreak, but she chooses to hide the truth. After experiencing some spotting, she visits a doctor and learns that she was never pregnant. Her earlier positive pregnancy test was a false result, likely caused by stress.
Despite this, Camille keeps the news from Gabriel and pretends to still be expecting, even refusing to drink champagne at the party. It’s unclear whether she’s trying to protect Gabriel’s happiness or if she’s using this lie to stay close to him after her breakup with Sofia.
Sylvie Confronts Her Painful Past
Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), one of the most powerful characters in the show, is forced to revisit painful memories from her past.
After JVMA acquires Agence Grateau’s first client, Pierre Cadault (Jean-Christophe Bouvet), Sylvie crosses paths with Louis de Leon (Pierre Deny), a former boss who sexually harassed her when she was younger. Learning that he is still preying on younger employees, Sylvie agrees to speak out in a public exposé.
As a result, Agence Grateau loses several clients who do not want to be associated with the scandal. Louis also pulls his investment from Sylvie’s husband Laurent’s (Arnaud Binard) company. With Emily’s help, Sylvie manages to resolve some of the issues threatening Laurent’s business, but her marketing firm continues to face challenges.
By the end of Part 1, Julien (Samuel Arnold) returns to Sylvie’s team after a brief stint at JVMA, and they are ready to work together to restore Agence Grateau’s reputation in Part 2.
Mindy Prepares for Eurovision Amid Relationship Tensions
Mindy (Ashley Park), Emily’s best friend, also faces major changes in Season 4. Early in the season, her band gets invited to perform at Eurovision, but they quickly realize that they have to finance their performance.
Mindy refuses to accept help from her wealthy boyfriend Nicolas de Leon (Paul Forman), so she sells one of his expensive gifts to raise the necessary funds. Part 2 will likely focus on her band’s final preparations for the competition.
Meanwhile, Nicolas’s family gets caught up in the sexual harassment scandal involving his father. Mindy encourages Nicolas to act responsibly, and he confronts the board about his father’s actions. As a result, Nicolas’s father is asked to step down, and Nicolas takes over JVMA.
Although this helps mend their relationship, tension remains. A particularly emotional duet between Mindy and her ex-boyfriend Benoit (Kevin Dias) during Part 1 stirs up old feelings, leaving us to wonder if Mindy’s relationship with Nicolas will be put to the test in Part 2.
Emily’s storylines are always filled with drama, and Part 2 is sure to be just as thrilling. With unresolved issues, complicated love triangles, and unexpected twists, there is no doubt that Emily will face even more challenges as Season 4 continues.
As Season 4 progresses, Emily in Paris promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With love triangles, personal dilemmas, and surprising revelations, the show continues to deliver drama and excitement. Fans eagerly await to see how Emily and her friends show these new challenges in Part 2.
