Fans know that Enhypen’s maknae Ni-ki is not called the 4th Gen dance prodigy for nothing. In fact, back when I-land was still airing, he was the best dancer among all of the other contestants. Ni-ki and his sisters loved dancing and excelled in the art. Why would not he think? Nishimura Riki had started to practice dancing while we were learning our ABCs. At the age of 3, Niki used to dance to Michael Jackson’s DVD alone and had started to learn dance and ballet at a dance academy when he was five years old. His parents had helped him polish his skills from a very young age.
He had trained for only eight months before becoming a contestant on I-land and coming on the 4th place on the overall survival show. All the members said that their first expression of Ni-ki was that he is great at dancing. Even his life motto is Dance is life. Enhypen members have revealed that while learning choreographies, Ni-ki becomes their dance leader. Not only that, his dancing skills have been praised by the likes of BTS’s J-hope, Seventeen’s THE8, Doobu, and Big Hit’s choreographer Son Sungdeok. Even Shinee’s Key remembered him being a backup dancer for one of his performances and met up with Ni-ki to congratulate him. We will just compile a few of his awesome dance moments that show that Ni-ki is a dancing prodigy.
5. Each And Every Dance Performance Of Ni-ki In I-land
Ni-ki had showcased his awesome dance moves through various songs like SuperM’s Jopping, Into The I-land, BTS’s Fire, and more. Not only did Ni-ki mesmerize viewers with his dance moves but also with his gorgeous vocals and stage presence. If you have watched each and every performance of Ni-ki in I-land, you will find out why people loved him so much! It is not every day you get praised by your seniors and get gifted by your role model (Ni-ki was gifted a customized hanbok by Jungkook)!
4. When He Slays Enhypen’s Choreography
This is not just our opinion but a fact. Ni-ki literally learns the choreography of their songs in just ten minutes, so Enhypen’s dance must be a breeze for someone like Ni-ki. There is no wonder why Ni-ki’s fancams get a lot of views, with Given-taken (it has 1,723,363 views) being his most viewed fancam.
3. The Timed He Owned 7 Rings
There is a pre-debut video of Nishimura Riki grooving to Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings. Many people had praised him for having a good mindset at such an early age. Many boys would try to make the moves more masculine, deeming that the moves are too ‘girly’. But Ni-ki was not hesitant to deliver the song as it is and was not afraid about whether the moves were too girly. Ni-ki best boy! Now, we believe that ni-ki is sassier than Sunoo!
2. Making Jimin Proud With His Lie Dance Cover
Jimin is one of the most legendary dancers in the K-pop industry, so it does not come as a surprise that Ni-ki looks up to him. The fluidity in Jimin’s dance moves and insane, and many veteran dancers would also shy away from covering his choreographies, but Ni-ki took up the challenge. The sixteen-year-old K-pop idol said that although it was not easy, he was not someone who gave up that easily. Ni-ki did not fail to impress us with his cover of Jimin’s solo song. Surely, Ni-ki covering Jimin’s Lie must be one of his most iconic dance moments ever! You can watch the video here!
1. His And Jungwon’s ‘MIX & MAX’ Dance Performance
Everyone can agree that Ni-ki and Jungwon’s MIX & MAX Performance was a cultural reset. The two youngest members of Enhypen Ni-ki and Jungwon got together to set the room on fire with their dance. Undoubtedly, this is one of the moments that prove the dance of Ni-ki. Plus, fans even got more Ni-ki and Jungwon crumbs and another great performance. We loved their synchronization and teamwork. It actually looked like Ni-ki was the one who was controlling Jungwom’s movements.
