Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 250 Recap
Unlike the last few episodes of Boruto, the 250th episode was a retrospect of Funato Clan, which was titled “Funato’s Blood”. A small period before Funamushi died and a new resolve of the Ikada’s character. The episode opened with a small engagement between Funamushi’s son Kobuna and Ikada. Ikada is fully focused on taking care of Seiren, so Kobuna takes him out to have a break. When they play around, Kobuna talks about his father and that he will ask him to train once he is back. Furthermore, he asks Ikada if he is going to join the battle since he has to his part in this conflict. His father Araumi insists on Ikada fighting as well, but he is trying his best to stay away.
Meanwhile, while discussing their strategies and current conditions of the ambush plan on Hidden Mist, it seems that nothing is working out for the Funato Clan. The discussion results in a debate between the clan leader Araumi and his son Isari. Araumi implies that in his absence, Isari has led the clan to failure. Isari suggests retreating to their Funato Army, but his dad insists on not abandoning the seas. When it seemed like they were almost about to fight, Isari backs down. Araumi reminisces about the time his wife Minao died while trying to protect Ikada.
Soon, the news of Funamushi’s death comes, and it enrages Araumi even more. When Funamushi’s son cries and determines to take revenge for his father’s death, Araumi rages on Ikada and insists he should be fighting as well. While Ikada thinks over the conflict with the Hidden Mist, Isari tells him that their sister Seiren was hurt while she was looking for him. He also tells him that he is only looking for Seiren’s recovery so he wouldn’t have to fight. One of the soldiers informs them that his sister is awake.
Ikada rushes over to his sister, and Seiren finally awakes. Although she is not recovered at all and when she recalls her memories, she insists on leading the army right away. However, she collapses on the ground and dies in Ikada’s arm. As she dies, Seiren says Ikada is the hope of the Funato Clan. Meanwhile, Isari plans on signing a peace treaty unbeknownst to his father. At the end of the episode, Ikada’s new form is revealed, and now he has gills like other family members.
