Recap of episode 6
Lamar has repeatedly gotten in the way of the group’s progress, and whether they want to admit it or not, they are afraid of him whether he has dispersed them. Lamar learns that Meech and Terry are adamant in their quest for him.
This permits him to do what he pleases. He murders Sockie, and two more crew members Meech paid to kill him. Lamar will continue tormenting BMF as much as he is still alive and fairly healthy and as soon as his ultimate objective of eliminating Meech is still on his to-do list.
Terry is back in BMF, and Meech, particularly found it joyful to see him rocking around. After vacillating between wanting to join the gang and not wanting to join it for most of this season and the first half of year one, Terry finally makes up his mind. He begins by announcing to his parents and high school instructor that he would not return to finish his courses and graduate.
His parents are shocked by the news, and despite their protests at his choice, he falls back and declares there is nothing anyone can do to make him reconsider. Charles rushes back to Mabel’s place after having brief sexual contact with her and tells her they need to call it quits.
As soon as Mabel sheds her robe, his little moment of strength is over, and before we realize it, Charles has fallen into her trap and is having intercourse with her on her sofa. It’s terrible because the nice things he’s accomplished for Lucille, the need to be more emotionally available and bring her to dinner, will be erased when Charles’ infidelity finally catches up to him as it does with most people.
Mabel succeeds in other ways, thanks to her experience with Charles. She found what she was looking for and obtained it easily. Charles falls into her trap because of his emotional instability and sensitive state. Still, he is mature enough to remain committed to his relationship and resolve its issues rather than flee from it. That’s not the case, though.
B-Mickie is upset over Terry’s return to BMF. In his opinion, Terry left the gang and was immediately welcomed back with open arms—and granted the top role that B-Mickie had held for so long. B-Mickie communicated his displeasure to Meech, who ordered him to stop worrying about them.
After B-Mickie promised to capture Meech for Detectives Bryant and Jin, only to change his plans and flee the city with an angry Meech, problems for B-Mickie only worsened. B-Mickie bids his mother farewell and turns to leave Detroit.
B-Mickie’s inability to flee Detroit and Meech’s awareness of his collaboration with the authorities will not favor him moving ahead. Still, it may also portend more negative outcomes for BMF.
