Despite the fact that they both work in the same office, their attitudes towards one another aren’t particularly friendly. Although Uea strongly dislikes King’s personality, they come to a middle ground and decide to date under the condition that they must refrain from falling in love or their sexual relationship will stop at once.

Uea initially hesitates and refuses to enter into the agreement. Later, however, after growing tired of being deceived by someone he cherished, he changes his mind and chooses to take up King’s offer out of frustration.

As the relationship between the two strengthens, it turns from a friends with benefits situation into something deeper and more real.

Bed Friend Episode 8 bore witness to confusion and pain. With Uea and King going through a rough patch in their relationship. Mr Kit, their boss would not stop overworking Uea and making him spend longer hours in the office. Unable to deny his boss’ orders, Uea has no choice but to do the work he’s given.

At the end of the day, when Uea is nearly done with his work, King, who was sitting next to him, went for a quick bathroom break. Uea was about to leave when suddenly Mr Kit called him to his office to talk about his work. Unaware of what was to happen, Uea unwillingly followed him.

In his office, Mr Kit violently expressed his desire to Uea, and how he was in love with him. He forced himself on Uea and harassed him. Being in this dangerous position, Uea could not help but recollect his past trauma of being sexually assaulted by his own step-father. He did he best to get Mr Kit off of him and rushed out.

The next day, Mr Kit visited his home and Uea’s mom, who had always been disapproving of him being gay, was suddenly okay with Uea marrying Mr Kit, because he was rich. This response triggered Uea and made him realize that his mother never cared about him or his feelings, but only the financial aid he provided. Even after he had told her about the sexual assault, she paid no heed and continued to support her husband.

Uea found shelter in Jade that night and expressed his emotions regarding what all had happened. The episode ended with Uea wanting to give in his resignation letter through Jade, and apologizing to King saying their Friends with Benefits relationship was over.
