Giving us a glimpse into the glamourous lives of a bunch of women who get to live the star life thanks to their NBA husbands or exes is the show Basketball Wives, which is currently in the middle of airing its eleventh season. The girls are best friends and share one common feature: being related to an NBA player.
This reality show is all about bringing to fans the reality of these star wives, ex-wives, or girlfriends, and sometimes things do get ugly. While we believe that their supercars, designer fits, and expensive bags and vacays must mean that all is good, this show shows just how miserable their lives can make them at times.
In a world that is always under scrutiny, we see the women featured on the show navigate their way in it, trying to protect their peace and their relationships from scandals, rumors, and the jealous kind. Currently, in its eleventh season, the show is full of drama and arguments that turn into catfights, serving us with all the tea we need.
We have on the show Evelyn Lozada, Brooke Bailey, Jennifer Williams, Jac’Eil Duckworth, Brittany Renner, Venessa Rider, Clayanna Warthen, Jackie Christie, and Shaunie Henderson, who also happens to be one of the creators of this show and former wife of Shaquille O’Neil.
Let us dive into VH1’s piping-hot reality series to find out more about what we can expect in the upcoming episodes and where you can get your hands on it.
The Plot
Still recovering from the shocking news of the passing of Brooke Bailey’s daughter Kayla Nicole Bailey, the last few episodes of the show have been emotional, in the least. It was nice to see the girls come together in support of Brooke to help her deal with reality.
Her fundraiser was a thorough success, though she still seems to be recovering from the loss of it all, which viewers understood. The last episode of this season, titled ‘Shop till you Pop,’ had Evelyn throwing a big pop-up party for her fashion line, and while she was busy with that, Jen’s boyfriend seemed to have checked Vanessa for talking and outright gossiping about his kids to people, which he did not appreciate at all.
Brooke, still heartbroken because of the loss of her daughter, finds herself wanting to get back with her ex, while Britanny, who had been creating some distance between the group and herself, seems to have finally made up her mind about where she stands in it and the kind of relationship she wants with them.
In the upcoming twelfth episode of the show, titled ‘Love Lost & Love Found’, we will see the girls pack their bags and fly to Houston, where they will meet up with Pastor Keion, who has a talk with Evelyn which helps her gain clarity about her relationship with Levon.
Vanessa finally has her basketball gym dream come true, and she is met with opposition that she may not have thought about before. We will also get to see a deep conversation between Jen and Christian, leaving Jen utterly shocked.
